I rubbed my hands around my neck, easing some of the pain away from where he had nearly suffocated me. Eyeing him suspiciously as he shifted around in his seat, getting more comfortable. He clasped his hands together, folding them over his lap as he sat back in his chair observing me carefully. His finger ticked a couple of times against the back of his hand as he contemplated his next words.
“There’s a potion I learned from an old friend that can remove that mark on your neck. It will burn through the ties of the bond, searing them away until there’s not a single remnant left, but the process is exceptionally painful.
