Kaida POV      My childhood home looked much like I had remembered it, maybe a little more run down and beat up from the years of neglect, but it still remained relatively the same. I had expected to feel a barrage of emotions when confronted with my old home again but instead, I felt nothing. Just a numb emptiness where anger or sadness should have been. Maybe it came with the knowledge that Duncan had never really been my father, or maybe it was simply an aftereffect of the years I've spent with Kane.
