Alex is awakened by moisture lapping against her feet. She shivers pulling her leg up towards her chest and trying to fall asleep. She can hear the loud clapping of thunder outside. Once more she is awakened, this time by something splashing against her back, soaking her bare skin. She jolts into a sitting position temporarily forgetting her injuries as the shock forces her awake. She blinks her eyes open, only wishing she hadn't when faced with the traumatic sight before her. Thunder booms and light cackle in the sky outside.
