Alex forces her eyes open, she groans at the pain in her body. Multiple stalactites stare back at her like spears ready to start her flesh Harsh coughs rattle through her delicate frame. she doubles down as sea water drips down her chin forcing its way out of her lungs. With each cough her ribs felt like they were stabbing into her very heart and yet she couldn't stop herself. Even at war, she's never felt this beaten and miserable before. She bites her tongue to keep herself from crying out when a particularly harsh cough breaks through her. She was dying.
