It felt good to be back in Lonia, to be away from all the drama that was Fyn. Alex will miss her family of course but what she wouldn't miss was the uncertainty that she could be taken at any moment. She didn't have to worry about that here.
She couldn't say the same for Aiden though. The moment he arrived back was the moment he would resume his duties as King. She felt sorry that the court ministers wouldn't even let him rest from the long journey before requesting his presence there was an urgent matter which needed to be taken care of.
