A squeal woke Nikolas up, he jumped to his feet, his hands searching for his sword.
He found it immediately and began taking light steps towards the sound.
“Nikolas!” Julia squealed again, rushing to hug him, she jumped on him and he shook his back furiously, thinking she was a creature.
She fell with a loud thud, she frowned. He watched her closely, his sword on her neck.
“Nikolas it’s me” She hinted.
“Liar!” He used the sheath of his sword to hit her arm and her scream of pain made him believe it was her.
He knelt down, rubbing her arm gently. She hugged him instantly, saying she had missed him so much.
