Groaning in annoyance, Knight still walked into his father in law's office. At first, he doesn't want to see him but there's a lot of proof that Vernon had nothing to do with his father's death. Although they are business partners, Knight haven't seen Vernon since then. He was focused on his work and on Blane.
But this time, Vernon called Knight. The alpha thought that it was about the company but it wasn't. Vernon wanted a talk which confused the young alpha.
He wanted to talk about what?
He was confused about whether he was hesitating to come or not. What if Vernon was trapping him? What if it's a trap to blame him for his father's death?
Knight knew Vernon wasn't that evil as to do violence to him. Besides, Blane wouldn't like that.
