New Job

I stormed into my office and asked my manager for some work. I wanted to know about Mr.Parker's client details and his ongoing deal, I said to my manager. Lets see how far you save your a**. Within 2 hours, I had all his details. I made some calls and smiled, now you are gone Mr.Parker, I muttered to myself. But again I thought about that girl. I don't know why, but this is the first time I have noticed a girl.

After two days, my phone started ringing and when I saw the person, I smiled. "Hello Mr.Parker, How are you", I said to him in a mischievous tone. "You know what because of you, I lost all my upcoming deals", He said to me angrily. I smiled internally. "Shh, Tone down old man, I already warned you but you never took me seriously", I said to him in a cold tone. " I already told you that I cant sell this property. This property was given to me by my father and that's the only thing I have of him," He tried to manipulate me because I already searched about this and found out that he made a promise to some other client and wants to make a club on that property. I know he is so cunning. "Dont worry Mr.Parker, I can assure you that your father's property will remain in good hands. I will use this property in a good way", I said to him. "You, son of b****", he muttered angrily. "Never abused my mom, remember that, I tried to give you a chance. Now start counting your days. You will be doomed very soon", I spat angrily and hung up.

Emma P.OV.

Its been a week since I had started this job but Josh's words kept ringing in my mind. I don't know why I feel nervous today. I reached my office and started my work. Someone knocked at the door and informed me that Sushi had called me. I immediately went to her cabin and after knocking , I entered inside her cabin. She looked serious and worried. "Good morning Sushi", I greeted her. I saw that she was doing some paper work. "Morning Emma, actually the company decided to mass layoffs and your name was theirs, so we are very sorry Emma, but you have been fired", she said to me in a worried tone. I was numb after her confession and didn't know how to respond to her. " Sorry Emma, but the company did not make profits and we had to do that", she said to me. I nodded and left from there. After reaching into my cubicle, I collected my belongings and when I saw Josh there, I went to him and asked if he was also fired. "Hi Josh", I greeted him. "Sorry Emma, I got to know that you were fired", he said to me in a low tone.

"It's OK Josh, I don't have enough experience and qualifications and congrats that you were retained", I replied to him honestly. "Thank Emma, Please let me know if you need any help", he said to me. I nodded and left.

I unlocked my apartment and went to my room and suddenly tears formed in my eyes. Why does this always happen to me, God, whenever I start to think that everything will be fine and I can start making money and complete my studies but something happens after that? I can't tell Lara about that because she was already worried about her father's condition. I don't know what job I can do because I don't have enough qualifications. I just passed my +2. How can someone give me a job? After crying, I washed my face and started searching again for a job. But after searching for around 2 hours, I couldn't find any job which matched my qualifications. Suddenly, an idea appeared in my mind and I started searching for my newspaper. In the newspaper, I mark jobs which I can do. One was home caretaker and the other one was gardening. I tried this caretaker job. I know in this job, I don't need many qualifications. Hope everything will be fine soon. With this hope, I slept on the couch.

Next morning, I started getting ready and took the newspaper with me. After reaching the destination which was given in that newspaper, I saw a big mention of having full security. I was confused why owners of this mension need a caretaker because they already have servants. I shrugged off this thought and reached the main gate. Watcheman stopped me and asked if I had any appointments or not. I gave her my letter which I received after applying for this post. He nodded and asked me to wait on the lawn. I thanked him and went to the lawn and started waiting. And when I saw the person who was coming towards my direction, I was shocked.
