Double Trouble
Ariel I couldn't believe what I was seeing. She seemed to be floating there, like an ethereal angel. Stephanie and I stood before her, like worshipers coming to pay tribute to their idol. When I approached I saw that she was actually on a bed, tilted up to face the door. Her body was weak and she was restrained. In her eyes was cold fury. The rest of the room was cast in darkness. There were some computer terminals, but nothing was as interesting as the girl in the middle of the room. “How is this possible?” I asked. “Have they cured death?” Stephanie said. She looked in awe.
