CARSON
I watched my mate fall asleep.
I couldn’t believe what I had heard.
Lynx was close by and liked that we could be with our mate. He wanted to claim her. He didn’t speak as he listened to her. She calmed him, especially when we picked her up to carry her back into her room. But even he was annoyed with what had happened earlier with her family.
The nurse from the station had mind-linked me to notify me that Jenny and her family were at the hospital to see Leah, and I knew that it wouldn’t end well.
I knew I needed to speak to Jenny about this; this was clearly not good for Leah. It was all too much, and she even tried to escape the hospital, which was not what I wanted, let alone here.
I heard the door open and looked up to see the nurse from before.
