Chapter 10 Genie Standing next to Aladdin, Genie watched what was happening unable to move. It was as if his brain were disconnected from his body. He could hear Aladdin desperately trying to make his wish. But, at the same time, he could hear the tortuous, hell sounds as Vizier’s sleeve brushed the side of his lamp. The pain of it drilled through him like spikes hammered into his ears. It was unbearable. This was the curse that the angel had placed on him those thousands of years ago. Genie could resist, but if he did, the noise would never stop. Giving in to the curse, Genie found himself back within the lamp. He was again smoke.
