### Chapter Four :The Evening

1633 Words
The air in the dorm was thick with intrigue as Tx stepped into the room, a radiant smile lighting up her face. Her friends exchanged curious glances, whispers seeping through the laughter like fireflies in the twilight. “What’s up with her?” they murmured, their amusement woven with a hint of envy. Tx, blissfully unaware of their chatter, made her way to her bed and lay down, her heart still dancing from the moments that had just unfolded. “Hey, you!” Joe’s voice broke the momentary silence, drawing her attention. “Mhhh, what??” Tx asked innocently, her eyes glimmering with mischief. “Why are you smiling from ear to ear? What did you do, huh?” Joe teased, her curious gaze searching hers for answers. “Let her be; is it a crime to smile?” Micky interjected, a smile tugging at the corners of her lips. “It’s not, but I’ve never seen you this happy. You seem… satisfied,” Joe remarked, leaning in closer, her fingers brushing against her cheek. With a playful shove, Tx replied, “Hey, f**k off!” as she gently removed Joe's hand, her laughter echoing off the walls of the room. “Don’t tell me you ate some p***y,” Riks chimed in, her voice dripping with mischief. “Riks!” they shouted together, the sound mingling with their laughter, filling the dorm with youthful exuberance. “f**k you guys! Why are you so loud? It’s annoying!” Riks retorted, feigning irritation. “You’ve got one dirty mind, dude,” Joe chuckled, shaking her head. Tx finally had enough of the teasing. “It’s late! Sleep, please!” she declared, standing up with determination, playfully chasing them out of the room. She closed the door with a gentle thud, locking it with a satisfying click. From the other side, Joe’s voice boomed, “Yo, Tx! Open the door, you bastard! Where do you expect me to sleep?” Her playful exasperation made her grin wider. “Go to one of your girls!” Red shouted, laughter bubbling from her lips. “That’s my room too!” Joe retorted, raising her voice in a mock protest. “Let’s go, guys! Let’s leave this homeless prick!” Micky teased, and as laughter erupted again, Joe began to chase them playfully. “Let me get my hands on you!” she yelled, her laughter ringing through the hallway. “Guys!! She’s angry,” Red shouted, her voice tinged with humor. “Run for your life!” And together, they dashed away, echoing laughter trailing behind them. ### The Next Morning The dawn broke softly, and Tx woke up early, the weight of the previous night’s mischief still warm in her heart. She began her morning workout, moving with the grace of a dancer, sweat glistening on her skin and giving her an almost ethereal glow. Suddenly, a knock on her door interrupted her rhythm. With a smile still playing on her lips, she opened it to find Rose, the prefect in charge of all dormitories. The moment froze. Rose found herself enamored, her gaze catching Tx’s sexy, masculine form, radiating confidence and warmth, making her heart flutter as if it were a captive bird. “Morning! How can I help you?” Tx offered, her tone inviting yet playful. Rose blinked, caught in a moment of awe, her mind racing. “Ohhh yes, handsome—oh, I mean…” she stumbled over her words, cheeks flushed with a surprising heat. “Miss, you okay?” Tx asked, a slight grin curling on her lips as she tapped Rose’s shoulder gently, her eyes searching hers. “I’m okay,” Rose managed to say, though her heart raced and thoughts became jumbled. “I was just inspecting the dormitory, but I’ll come back next time…” Her words lingered in the air as she hurriedly turned to leave, feeling the weight of her own embarrassment. Just as Rose left, the door swung open again, and a frustrated Joe appeared, her expression a mix of annoyance and exhaustion. “Where were you last night?” Tx asked sarcastically, a teasing glint in her eyes. Joe slammed the door shut behind her and headed right for the shower, the steam from the hot water swirling around her, almost mirroring her chaotic thoughts. Tx laughed softly, the sound ringing like a familiar melody, and went back to her workout, blissfully unaware of the stirrings her presence had caused not just in her friends but especially in Rose's heart. ### Rose’s Inner Struggle In her dorm, Rose paced anxiously, replaying the encounter in her mind. “What was that?” she whispered, biting her lip as she recalled Tx's touch, feeling both exhilarated and terrified. The thought of tx had ignited a longing deep within her, and as she found Jade sprawled in bed, warmly snuggled under a blanket, she couldn’t help herself. ### A Perfect Morning of Confusion The early hours of Saturday peeled back the veil of night, laying bare the chaos of a high school dormitory yet to awaken fully. Sunlight streamed through the curtains, casting a delicate glow upon the rumpled sheets that housed Jade, cocooned in a fortress of blankets. Her tranquility shattered, a voice cut through the morning air. "Girl, wake up! You can’t be sleeping, and I’m in trouble!" Rose, a whirlwind of energy, tugged at the blankets. "Ugh!" Jade groaned, burying her face deeper into the fabric. "I need more sleep; go away." Her voice was a deep, sleepy murmur, barely breaking the surface of consciousness. “Wake up, haaa!” Rose persisted, pulling at Jade's leg with playful insistence. “You have to wake up now!” Jade shot up, her eyes wide with the disbelief of disrupted dreams. “It better be important, Rose. Waking me up like this at such an early hour is a sin." She stared, bleary-eyed, at her friend. “Start talking.” Rose's face lit up, a mischievous glint sparkling in her eyes as she began recounting her rounds through the dorm—a tale laced with embarrassment and blush, her heart racing at the mere mention of abs and charming smiles. “So hot...” she whispered, lost in thought for a fleeting moment. Jade, however, was not entertained. “That’s it?” She raised a skeptical eyebrow and delivered a gentle thump to Rose's head. “Awww, that hurts! What was that for?” Rose pouted, sulking under the weight of her friend's mockery. Jade rolled her eyes, the weight of her annoyance dissipating into laughter. “You woke me up for this? A 'gay panic'? Really, Rose? I thought it was a real emergency!” “It *is*!” Rose exclaimed, her sulk morphing into fervor. “Can’t you see? I’m questioning everything! I don’t know if I’m straight anymore!” “Then go find a mirror and ask yourself if you’re straight or not. I’m going back to sleep now," Jade chuckled, her laughter ringing in the room like music. “You’re usually awake by now. When did you start being a sleepyhead? Or was it a wild night with Nohmah?” Rose smiled cheekily, a teasing sparkle in her eye. “Go away, Rose.” Jade feigned annoyance but couldn’t suppress a grin. “Not gonna tell me, huh?” Rose advanced, launching into a tickle assault. “Stop, you *b***h*!” Jade laughed, wriggling beneath the onslaught. “Fine, I’ll talk!” “Spill the tea, girl!” Rose’s excitement was palpable, her eyes dancing with anticipation. Jade sighed, the memories of the previous night flooding back—the warmth of their shared words, the sparkle in Noh’s eyes, and the tension that had danced between them. “Nothing much to say, it was our anniversary yesterday…” “I know. You told me.” An eyebrow raised, Rose grinned. “Oh, okay. Fine, stop! You had a wild night yesterday.” “No, it's not that,” Jade replied, biting her lip as haunting flashbacks surfaced. *In a hazy flicker: Noh had handed her a beautifully wrapped package, radiant with promise. “Got you something, babe. Hope you’ll love it,” Noh said, her smile bright as the diamond necklace glittered in the soft glow of light, a testament to their deepening love.* “It looks expensive, Noh.” *“Do you like it?”* *“Yes, but I can’t take it; it’s too much,” Jade protested gently, feeling a swirl of emotions.* *Noh’s response was unwavering. “Nothing is expensive when it comes to you, my babe. I can give you the whole world if you ask—to show you how much you mean to me.”* *The kiss they shared was like thunder clashing in a clear sky, both fragile and electric. But just as quickly, confusion grasped Jade, pulling her back, too soon, too fast.* Rose’s voice sliced through the sweet memory. “So you made out with Noh?” “No!” Jade protested, heart racing. “I couldn’t.” “And why not?” Rose pressed, eyes wide with curiosity. “I’m sure Noh felt bad.” “I know!” Jade sighed. “But she was cool about it. I truly don’t know what’s happening to me.” “Or you’re in love with someone,” Rose suggested, a hint of mischief in her tone. “Rose, you’re not helping!” Jade exclaimed, her disbelief palpable. “I’m just pointing out possibilities!” Rose grinned, the sunlight catching her playful spirit. “Get lost!” Jade laughed, pushing her away playfully. “Fine, but you better wake up.” Jade nodded, a battle of emotions brewing inside her.
