Chapter 11Jayden slept late on Saturday morning, the relaxation CD working its magic on repeat throughout the night. Nahla remained on guard and the demons kept wide of her spiteful claws. “I feel refreshed,” Jayden remarked, groaning as she stretched her body into a line. Tiny bones popped along her spine and she gave a satisfying yawn. “It’s good.” She made plans for the remainder of her day, showered and ate toast. Nahla padded to the top of the stairs as Jayden pulled low-heeled boots from a cupboard. “I’m going for a walk.” Jayden paused as the cat pressed a furry body against her face. Then she sneezed. “I need my handbag from Raff’s car. One good thing about not having the key to the filing cabinet is that I’ve typed all my notes from the last few days straight into the computer.
