Time passed, and it got to evening.
Kia returned from work and sat with her siblings.
Tia looked at Kia.
“When you were at work, me and Kamal discussed visiting mom and dad next week. You know it’s been long since we saw them.”
Kia nodded.
“Yes, that’s true. Let’s go.”
Kamal added, “Yes, we will go.”
After a brief silence, Kamal said,
“And Kia… Tia said she wants to start working again.”
Kia’s face lit up immediately.
“Wow!” she exclaimed and hugged her sister tightly.
“I told you it’s just a matter of time. See now… Alhamdulillah.”
They all laughed.
Tia looked at both of them, her eyes soft.
“Fr… you two really tried for me. You guys are the best anyone could ever ask for as siblings. You stood by me and never made me feel left out… even when I tried to push you away.”
She paused, her voice getting a bit emotional.
“Thank you so much… my siblings.”
She turned to Kia.
“I know I’m the cause of you and Mustekim’s breakup… and Alhamdulillah, you guys are back.”
Then she turned to Kamal.
“And I made you stay at home all the time… thank you so much.”
Kamal and Kia immediately pulled her into a hug.
“We will always be here for you,” Kamal said softly.
“Always,” Kia added.

After the moment, Tia looked at Kia again.
“What about Mustekim? How is his sickness now?”
Kia sighed slightly.
“Yes… it’s been weeks now. But I don’t know why the result is not yet out. I keep asking, but his excuse has always been the doctor is busy. I don’t know what to do again.”
Kamal nodded calmly.
“The doctor might actually be busy. Nobody knows. Let’s just pray for the best.”
Tia also nodded.
“Yes… let’s just hope for the best.”
The room fell into a quiet moment as they all sat together.
And the scene slowly faded.
