The club was alive with energy - lights pulsing in rhythm with the deep bass, people laughing, dancing, and vibing everywhere.
Some lingered at the bar, swirling drinks in their hands and chatting loudly, while others lost themselves on the dance floor, moving to the music like nothing else existed.
In the VVIP section, Mubarak lounged in the center of a massive sofa, flanked by his closest friends and a few girls who giggled at his jokes, the smoke from their cigarettes curling lazily toward the ceiling. Glasses clinked, Hennessy bottles were passed around, and the occasional laugh punctuated the low thrum of the song playing through the speakers. The conversation flowed freely, mostly trivial, until one of his friends leaned in, shifting the topic.
Jamal, holding a glass of Hennessy, faced Mubarak directly. "Can't you invite your brother to vibe with us?" he asked, smirking slightly.
Mubarak's lips curved into a faint smirk,
effortless and calm. "His schedule's tight.
Besides, he's not like me... the extrovert," he replied smoothly, his eyes scanning the room briefly before returning to Jamal.
Jamal nodded slowly, a calculating look on his face. "Ohhhh," he said, and then, leaning back, he brought up something else. "Yeah... about Ismail. There's this controversy going around
- some guy following a girl online. Fans went crazy, but nobody knows who she is. Wise enough to delete everything quickly. Her i********: is private. I'd like to know... maybe have a taste," he said with a teasing smile.
For a moment, the color seemed to drain slightly from Mubarak's face, though he maintained a flawless, practiced smile. "Yeah, I heard about it," he said casually. "Nobody had any idea who she is... or what she looks like. And honestly... I'm not interested in social media attention." He raised his glass, taking a slow, deliberate sip of Hennessy, then signaled one of his friends to hand him a strong substance, his way of chasing the high further into the night.
