Tia was sitting in the living room, quietly watching TV, when her brother walked in. "Hi, Tia." Tia smiled. "Bro! I thought you were busy upstairs." "I am... but not too busy for you," Kamal replied. "I saw you down here watching TV - it felt like a dream." Tia laughed and grabbed his hand, pulling him down to sit beside her. "I do watch TV, don't exaggerate, bro," she said, still smiling. "Not as serious as you make it sound," Kamal teased gently. Tia nodded, and Kamal rested his head on her shoulder, brushing her hair softly. "The therapist called," he said quietly. "She said it's been weeks since your last visit." "Yeah..." Tia murmured, leaning closer. "I just don't feel like going." "I checked your meds... you're not taking them again, are you?" she nodded. "Alhamdulillah," Kamal said, relief in his voice. "I just... I can't be the one being pitied when the person who's supposed to be miserable is out there living freely," Tia whispered. kamal held her hand gently. "Let's leave it all to the Creator," he said. He glanced at the TV. "Interested in watching the live basketball game? It starts in three minutes." Tia tilted her head. "Since when do you watch basketball?" "Since Ismail started making my sister happy," Kamal said softly. Tia lifted her head from his shoulder and looked at him, curiosity in her eyes. "I know everything he's doing... he's such o Godsend," Kamal continued. "And thanks for giving him another chance," he added, glancing at her. Tia just smiled, leaning back, and switched the TV to the basketball game already in play.
