Chapter seventy four ~ Caught

The sky was dark with only a few stars illuminating the sky. It wasn't a full moon yet, most of the wolves had retreated to their bed. I could hear the last of them and their faint howls from afar as they retreated into the night.
I positioned myself carefully behind one of the huge rocks close to the clear path. I let my hand slightly brush against my sword as I waited patiently for her arrival.
