The maids obeyed my instructions minstantly. They rushed past me, past her, into the room like the wind just let loose of them. One pulled open a wardrobe, another stripped linens from the bed, while two more moved to the side tables, clearing trinkets and ceremonial jewelry into chests lined with velvet.
