Chapter forty seven: confrontation
“I should ask you what you are doing in my town! Why did you come back here? What do you want?! Do you think you can waltz your way back to this place?! You think I have forgotten your face?!”
“I have no idea what you are talking about. You are the one who knows the reason why I am here! You said that yourself, didn’t you?!”
“ You must be stupid to think that I summoned you.” She burst into a sort of evil laughter, her eyes flashing red almost at the same time. “ Poor Lucian! We will meet again, right?! You must have forgotten me so soon, haven’t you?” She smiled softly and proceeded to slide her hand over face.
And then I realized who it was. It was Marilyn Mensah, one of the deadliest underground rulers, the exact one I fought with during the war.
