"Boss, what should we do with this woman?" Tommy asked.
Sebastian Lane kept his head down, wrapping the bleeding cut on his palm with a cloth strip. Hearing the question, he glanced at the trembling woman by the car wheel. His expression remained indifferent. "Be clean about it, leave no traces."
His voice was pleasant to hear, clean and slightly deep, yet with a hint of coldness.
"Watch and learn!" Tommy replied, grabbing a foot-long iron rod and walking towards the woman.
It was a thumb-thick rebar, something Emily Carter had picked up from a construction site and kept in the toolbox in front of the passenger seat for self-defense. She never imagined it would fall into the hands of thugs and become the weapon threatening her life.
Survive, no matter what, survive!
Emily's body trembled like a leaf, but a voice in her mind screamed. Her parents were still alive, gentle and kind their whole lives, and couldn't bear the shock of her tragic death. And there was Ryan Collins, waiting for her to join him.
She really shouldn't have driven alone on this country road, shouldn't have thought driving was safe, and definitely shouldn't have stopped when she saw someone lying on the road. She should have just stepped on the gas and run them over!
But now wasn't the time for regret. She was facing death.
"Please, don't kill me. Take the car, the money, everything! I won't report you, just please don't kill me!" She cried timidly, crawling a few steps toward the cold-eyed man sitting by the roadside, begging, "Sir, please, don't kill me. I really stopped to help you. Please let me go, I won't say anything, really, I promise!"
This was a fairly smart woman. Sebastian couldn't help but look at her again. Her tear-streaked face, with delicate features, was slightly distorted by fear. Her eyes, filled with tears, shone with a desperate plea. However, this did not soften his hardened heart. He remained unmoved, continuing to bandage his hand. The wound was from when he had jumped from a truck, his palm hitting a sharp stone by the roadside, almost splitting it in two.
The woman kept knocking her head on the ground and crying at his feet, making him feel irritated. Single-handedly tying the bandage was inconvenient, so he handed his palm to Skinny Joe and coldly asked Tommy, "What are you waiting for?"
Tommy walked over, picking her up like a chick, and dragged her towards the roadside bushes.
Emily struggled desperately but didn't dare to scream. In this desolate place with no villages or towns nearby, screaming would only make her die faster. So, she continued to beg, crying as she did.
"Boss, wait!" Skinny Joe, who was bandaging Sebastian's hand, suddenly softened and called out, then cautiously asked Sebastian, "Boss, let's keep this woman for now. What harm can she do to us?"
Sebastian's brows furrowed slightly, his lips tight. Tommy couldn't help but mock his brother, "You're just horny, aren't you?"
Skinny Joe chuckled, his gaze lingering on Emily's heaving breasts, unabashedly showing his desire. "So what if I am? It's been over a month since I touched a woman. Don't you want to?"
Under the bright moonlight, Tommy looked down at the woman he was holding and felt tempted too. She was indeed a young, beautiful woman with delicate features and an alluring figure.
Both of them wavered and looked at Sebastian.
Sebastian's cold and ruthless gaze swept over the terrified Emily. He spoke with icy indifference, "We're running for our lives. Once we're safe, you can f**k all the women you want. "
Emily shuddered uncontrollably, trying not to faint. She cast a pleading look at Skinny Joe, seizing this one chance to live. "Please, just don't kill me. I'll do anything. I have parents at home, I'm their only daughter."
Skinny Joe was tempted and, with a grin, pleaded with Sebastian, "Boss, it won't take long."
Sebastian hadn't yet responded, but Tommy laughed and cursed, "You have no shame!"
Despite the mockery, Tommy didn't drag Emily away and looked expectantly at Sebastian with Skinny Joe.
These were the two brothers who had been with him through life and death. Sebastian glanced at them, bit a grass stalk, and for the first time showed an expression other than cold indifference. He said impatiently, "Make it quick!"
Skinny Joe cheered and immediately walked over to Emily. Tommy laughed and let go, "You go first."
Emily didn't resist, following Skinny Joe's lead but continuing to beg, "Please, don't kill me. I swear I won't say anything."
"I won't kill you, as long as you behave!" Skinny Joe reassured her, but his hand eagerly grabbed her breast, feeling the softness beneath the fabric. He looked around and hurriedly dragged her to the bushes.
"In the car, let's go to the car." Emily's voice was barely a whisper but still caught the attention of the man in the distance. Terrified, she quickly explained, "The back seat is more comfortable, not prickly."
Skinny Joe, blinded by lust, dragged her to the car, yanked open the back door, and pushed her inside. Sebastian watched coldly, nodding slightly at Tommy, who understood and followed them to the car.
The car was a white SUV, spacious and high. Tommy leaned against the car, peering through the half-open window, and joked with Skinny Joe, "Can you handle it?"
Skinny Joe muttered, "Get lost," his voice slurred. The car was filled with the sound of rustling clothes and muffled feminine whimpers. After a stifled, painful sob, the car began to rock rhythmically, matching the man's excited, heavy breathing. The movements grew more intense, with the sound of flesh slapping against flesh, and the man's grunts and groans of pleasure echoing in the confined space. His breath quickened as he called out crude terms of endearment, leaning in repeatedly to force kisses on the woman beneath him.
"f**k!" Tommy's c**k hardened, and he couldn't help but curse. He got up, walked a few steps away from the car, and turned back to shout, "Joe, watch it!"
"This woman is a virgin!" Skinny Joe's voice was filled with surprise and delight, "I really hit the jackpot today!"
Tommy was stunned, spat on the ground, and laughed as he looked at the silent Sebastian in the distance. "Boss, look at this, don't let him shake the car apart!"
"A virgin? That's unexpected." Sebastian smirked slightly, showing a hint of mockery, and slowly turned away.
The car continued to shake, the rhythm stimulating Skinny Joe, making him thrust even harder. He kept muttering endearments, repeatedly trying to kiss Emily.
Emily bit her lip, enduring the pain. Despite her efforts to relax her body, the intense pain was unavoidable. She took a deep breath, wrapped one arm around Skinny Joe's neck, and bore his assault while discreetly pressing his body downward. Her other hand secretly reached for the pouch behind the front passenger seat.
Inside was a small, sharp fruit knife. The last time Ryan Collins had driven her for a spring outing, she had used that knife to peel fruit for him on the way back. She had sat in the back seat, cutting the apple into small pieces and feeding them to him. He would mischievously nibble her fingers, teasing her with his tongue, refusing to let go.
She had to survive. Emily kept telling herself, “Dad, Mom, and Ryan are all waiting for me. I can't die here, not in such a degrading and brutal r**e-murder.”
Emily finally found the knife. Skinny Joe was still on top of her, but she had never been calmer. Her hand slid over his back, trying to find his heart. But she wasn't sure, fearing the knife might be too short to reach his heart with one stab, failing to kill him instantly.
As Skinny Joe's pace quickened, Emily knew she had no more time to hesitate. She hooked his neck with one arm and lifted her head to kiss him forcefully. The man, unaware of her intentions, was delighted by her reaction, clutching her waist tightly and kissing her passionately.
As his body tensed uncontrollably, Emily drove the knife into the back of his neck without hesitation.
That was a fatal spot. Skinny Joe's gaunt body stiffened instantly. He struggled to lift his head, his eyes wide, trying to see the woman beneath him. But he had no chance. Emily's legs locked around his, one hand pressing his head down, the other gripping the knife, slicing through his spinal cord, arteries, and throat—everything was vulnerable to the sharp blade.
It was indeed a good knife, well worth bringing all the way from Switzerland.
Blood sprayed out like a fountain. Emily had to cover it with her hand, half her body soaked, her vision almost obscured by blood. The man finally stopped struggling, his body reduced to faint twitches. Emily didn't dare to release him, sneaking a glance outside. The burly man stood not far away, and Sebastian sat even further ahead.
The car engine was still running. She hadn't turned it off when she got out to check. She needed to move quickly, lock the doors, and drive away without alerting them.
This was her only chance to survive. Emily took a deep breath and gently pushed the gaunt man off her.
Sebastian was resting with his eyes closed, contemplating their next move. They had fled over a thousand kilometers, and Serenity City was not far away, but the future remained uncertain. Maybe he shouldn't have indulged Tommy and Skinny Joe at this moment. But they had followed him through countless dangers, never relaxing during the thirty-plus days of their escape. Letting them fool around for an hour shouldn't matter.
He was slightly distracted, his tense nerves relaxing a bit, so much that he didn't hear the soft click of the car door locking. The car lights, turned off to avoid attention, suddenly came on. Startled, he looked up to see the white SUV speeding towards him.
The intense headlights caused a brief blindness, but with one glance he recognized the driver. It was the woman who had been crying and begging moments ago, now with half her face covered in blood, the other half as pale as a ghost. Her eyes, no longer hidden by tears, were filled with a blazing, almost blinding hatred.
"Boss!" Tommy shouted, instinctively lunging forward to push Sebastian aside. Without thinking, Sebastian's body rolled towards the roadside, the car wheels narrowly missing his shoulder. Tommy, however, was hit by the car, sent flying over ten meters before landing with a dull thud.
The car didn't stop, running over Tommy's legs and speeding away.
Emily gripped the steering wheel tightly, flooring the gas pedal. The car raced down the country road until it burst onto the brightly lit city streets, where she finally slammed on the brakes. Her entire body shook uncontrollably, her hands trembling so much she could barely hold her phone, let alone dial Ryan's number.
"Ah—" she let out a low, beast-like growl, biting down hard on her wrist until the pain steadied her trembling hands enough to dial Ryan's number. When he answered, she sobbed, "Call the police, Ryan, call the police. Something happened to me."
She had driven alone late at night to his city, intending to surprise him.
