SAY YES!!!

AJ'S POV

I drove back home from Audrey's place feeling like a total waste, like I failed in every aspect of my life. The short time I had with her brought nothing but smile to me and I ruin it with my own hands. This time I didn't just break myself, I broke her's too. I could have sworn that I would have killed anyone that dared tamper with Audrey's happiness but here I am.

That night was supposed to be perfect but she's hurt and I feel useless.

I found myself returning back to the cigarettes I promised myself I won't take but at that point, it was like that was the only thing that actually waited for me.

Ok I was probably drunk while saying that because the drink was highly alcoholic. Depression waved at me and I said hello, exchanging pleasantries with guilt and pain until I had the Angel voice, my Audrey's came back for me. Her words weren't really clear but she looked like a mess also. Last night was chaotic.

Before I could take another drink I felt her lips on mine. First with hunger, then emotion and then passion. It tasted like strawberry and her scent suffocated me and then there was alcohol. That was probably how I tasted like. She stopped and looked me dead in the eyes as though she wanted to say something but her heavy head found comfort on my chest. My heart raced and I bet she could feel it too because she giggled and apologised for last night. She said she was probably being too judgemental and overly honest and she didn't weigh my emotions but I hushed her telling her not to apologise.

Funny enough I did like her raising her voice at me. It was something I hadn't experienced in a long time and for the first time someone scolded me simply because they cared not to transfer their aggression or to prove a point. It was official I was madly in love with her. She smirked and said I should prepare for school I wasn't expecting her to say that but I didn't want to say nay either so I consented to it and it took me half an hour to get dressed. I was wearing a black baggy short and a white T-shirt that had spray paints of chains on it.

I combed my hair backwards with my fingers as Audrey made a lot laughter. She drove us to school and the news reaching us was that today was for rehearsals only.

AUDREY'S POV

In two weeks time, a football match will be played against our school and the Premium Belts academy so our boys would be having practice that day while the cheerleaders were already planning dance moves. I would have joined if not for Sasha. So now I decided to stay with Rosa but Leo beat me to it first, I frowned and AJ traced my facial expression to their spot and giggled. He told me to follow him and I did even though he was heading to the middle of the field and Leo walked towards him with a microphone and a bouquet of flowers. I almost lost balance as we drew attention to ourselves.

AJ coughed Into the mic and I could feel hundreds of eyes on me. He recited a long speech of which I had nothing because fear gripped me and then the students echoed say yes, say yes, say yes and I gave a fake smile and hugged AJ while saying nodding my head like a baby. The whole school clapped and the news was printed out in no time.

I went to the school's cafeteria to get a snack and that was when I sighted the newspaper. It read, Audrey said yes to being AJ'S prom date and I was startled, like I did what. It was like I was dreaming and then I heard Walking steps and it seemed like I had company. Ooh hail AJ'S latest girlfriend and potential prom date Sasha said obviously irritated. You know you pretend alot like if someone else had seen that show you just displayed, they would as themselves if you are a twin. You got what you wanted so don't pretend I hope this relationship of yours doesn't turn out to be a dare. Rosa laughed and read through the newspapers while heading our direction, the so called queen bee Sasha just got her ass dumped by Evans. My jaws dropped and I had to look at the paper in my hand to confirm it.

Sasha felt irritated as she hissed at us and walked away. That was unexpected from a Queen Bee. Wowwwwww was all i could process at that time. I hoped the cheer group won't be affected by Sasha's new mood so I came up with a crazy idea.
