Beautiful man

Zoe POV: Holy smokes, Storm has always been my favorite band member and he is even more gorgeous in person! I can’t believe he talked to me and I can’t believe how naked he was! His honey-colored skin, muscular body, and sexy stubble were at full display and anyone would be an i***t not to check him out. He has a model’s face, the body of an Olympian, and a s*x appeal of a god. I also love his dark hair. He rocks the side-swept look perfectly with fades on the side, and lines shaved into it. He must pay his barber a good deal of money to keep his hair so nice. Christ. How am I going to work with him every day? I played it off cool though because I don’t want to seem like the crazy fangirl I am. I want to be professional. “So...” I say to the other guys who are all waiting to hear what it is I’m going to do next. “I already have 5 drummers in mind who would be great for the band, but we obviously have to watch them play and agree on one. Since you guys are busy writing your new album I will do interviews with the guys and watch them play. I will send you all the videos of the performances and then we will decide on the best one.” They nod, but it’s obvious that they are in a bad mood after Keal just quit. I saw it coming honestly. After watching them perform on YouTube for years, and watching interviews with them, I could tell that keal wasn’t feeling it anymore, and Mr. Holseve, their manager, must have sensed it too. Either that or he is the reason keal quit. If that’s true, that’s f****d up. “Sounds great. We’re heading to Colorado tonight, so we’ll fly them in to audition at our hotel.” Steel says as the rest of the guys fade into their own separate conversations. Steel is also a gorgeous man, with his curly, blond hair, fit body, that is usually pale, with tattoos covering at least 70% of his body. Too bad he plays for the opposite team, but lucky for all the gay men who get to sleep with him. “Okay... I um. I’m not sure what to do now,” I admit, and Steel chuckles. “Why don’t you get comfortable? Sit.” He says kindly with a smirk while patting on the bed next to him, and I already know we’re going to get along just well. I sit on the top bunk with him and the bus door opens. Storm walks in snelling like an expensive cigar and his eyes narrow in on me, on the bunk. “Hey, Zoe. Already getting comfortable in my bed are you?” He says in a teasing way before winking. I blush embarrassed. “Oh, I’m sorry, I didn’t realize it was yours and...” “It’s fine Zoe. Do you have any aspirin Steel?” He asks him and he shakes his head. “I have some in my purse,” I tell him as I reach for it and he silently thanks God. “You’re a lifesaver. Thank you.” He says as I hand him the pills and he swallows them without water. Damn. I could barely swallow it with water. “That’s what I’m here for,” I say as he looks into my eyes curiously with his green ones. “Tell me what the hell you know about Drumming Zoe.” He says in a challenging way and Steel gives him a warning glare, to not be rude, but I can tell he is also curious. “I... um, well...” I want to tell them that I am a drummer myself, and drumming has always been my first love. But Then they would want to hear me play, and may suggest that I become the next drummer. But I don’t want to be a part of that s*x, drugs, and rock and roll lifestyle. My father was, and it ended up with him overdosing on heroin at his last concert. He is still alive today but he retired after that time and has distanced himself since. “Well?” Storm asks and I sigh. “I’m a drummer. I don’t play for any band but, I know all there is to drumming, and I know talent when I hear it.” Storm’s mouth drops. “You mean you are a drummer looking for another drummer? Why the heck don’t you audition to us?” Steel asks Beside me. And there it goes. “Sorry. Not going to happen boys. I don’t want to be in a band.” Storm squints his eyes at me. “So you won’t even play a little for us?” Storm asks and I shake my head stubbornly. I can’t fall under his compelling spell. He looks me up and down. Everywhere his eyes land I heat up like a match. “That’s too bad. Now I will only have to imagine how talented those pretty hands of yours are.” He says with a smirk as he walks towards the small bar on the bus. I release the breath I was holding. Did he really just flirt with me? Ugh, get a grip, Zoe. A man as beautiful as him probably flirts with everyone... still, that was hot. Steel laughs beside me. “He can be a smooth talker but don’t fall into his trap.” He says looking Storm’s way and shakes his head. I would gladly fall into any trap Storm makes. s**t. I have to remain professional. “So you’re a drummer huh? I never would’ve imagined. Since when have you played?” Steel asks as he pulls out a joint and lights it. The fresh scent of good quality weed hits my nostrils, and I start to feel more relaxed, as I lean back. “I’ve played since I was a kid. I wasn’t that great back then, but over time I got the hang of it.” He nods as he inhales deeply and exhales smoke. “Want some?” He asks and I shake my head. “No thank you. I am technically working so...” “I won’t tell anyone of you won’t.” He says before handing me the warm joint. I finally give in and take one puff before handing it back to him. I choke on smoke a bit and Steel chuckles as he pats my back. “Those sound like some healthy lungs, Zoe.” He says as he smokes some more. “I used to smoke back in high school all the time. When the weed was never that strong, and you had to pull seeds out of it.” I say with a chuckle and he makes a tisking noise while shaking his head. “Reggie bush huh?” “Yeah, I guess so. So, I told you my story, what’s yours? Why did you become a bassist?” He smiles as he exhales. “I’ve known these fools all my life. They are the reason I’m alive today. When I came out of the closet I was bullied badly in middle school, and these guys had a little band and wanted me to join them to keep me away from those harmful people. I began to learn how to play the bass guitar and caught on quickly.” He says as he zones out for a moment. “Have you ever told anyone that before?” He nods. “Once, on an interview, I told my story, in hopes that someone who may have gone through a similar experience can relate.” He then re-lights his joint that turned off and flicks ash into a nearby tray. I bet every single one of them has interesting, funny, sad, crazy stories, and I love hearing stories. I used to sit on my dad’s lap as a kid and asking him to tell me a bunch of stories of his time on the road with his band. He would obviously leave out all the bad or too wild stories, that were not suitable for kids. “That was very sweet of you Steel. I’m sure you helped out many people by sharing your story.” He nods and smiles. “I hope so, or else why am I still here? Ya know?” He says mostly to himself as he lays back on the bed, and what he just said touched my soul in a deep way.
