One week later:
Storm POV:
“We’re up in 10 minutes!” Grayson says as he skips towards us backstage.
“You guys won’t believe how packed it is out there,” Grayson says snagging a beer from Steel’s hand and downs it as Steel glares at him.
“More than usual?” I ask him and he nods.
“Oh yeah dude, I have a feeling this is going to be our best album yet.”
“And the wildest shows.” Steel adds with a smirk.
I look towards Zoe who seems a bit nervous as she taps her boot to the hardwood and her fingers fidget. I place my hand on her shoulder.
“Nervous?”
She nods while forcing a smile.
“That’s okay, be nervous. It makes you play more passionately.” I tell her and she chuckles.
“That’s a load of shit.” She says calling me out on my lie.
“It’s was worth a try. You will be amazing as always Zoe. Besides you look so f*****g sexy in these sparkly leggings, I can’t wait to rip off later.” I say as I kiss her cheek and she giggles.
5 minutes later our manager tells us to get on stage. But not before a band group hug and pep talk.
“Alright, guys. Let’s give these people a bang for their buck.” I tell them and they nod.
“Let’s rattle some bones and touch some souls,” Grayson says and we all chant the band name and pull away. Most of the band is already out there in the dark. “Or rattle some souls, and touch some bones,” Steel says with a wink as he peeks from behind the curtain.
“Let’s show the world how much of a badass our new drummer is,” I say as I smack her butt and she hypes herself up but jumping side to side. My goodness, she’s cute.
“Let’s go!” She Yells and I follow her out onto the stage that is now dimly lit and the crowd goes crazy even though they can’t see us yet. I smile at Zoe’s new confidence and grab the mic.
“How it going ATL?!!” I yell out to the fans who cry out ‘I love you,’ and ‘good!’
“So this new album of ours may very well be our f*****g best so if you guys agree I better hear every single one of yall singing along with us. And ladies and gentlemen give it up for Buzzkill’s new drummer Zoe kilmer!!”
The spotlight shines on Zoe and she waves to the crowd, who cheers.
“Alright, let’s get our hearts pumping,” I say to Zoe and she nods and starts to play the intro beat to have it all and my foot starts tapping.
“Grayson. Rattle some bones, my man.” He salutes as he begins to play the guitar, then steel joins in with his bass, and then Jax on the keys.
The sound is incredible and flows through my veins as I begin to sing...
“Hands sliding up her curves, Lust in her eyes.
Music in the air, spreading of her thighs.
She rides me to the sky, makes me feel so high.
Fingers through my hair, and that beautiful sigh.
That girl can have it all. She can have it all. Lost myself tonight, she had me nearly break into a crawl.”
When I hear everyone sing the lyrics by heart I turn towards Zoe as I prepare to sing the part of the lyrics that she wrote because I know how good it feels to hear so many people sing it all at once. When I see her tear up a bit I hold the mic out to the crowd and she laughs her tears away as she plays.
“Frantic beating of my heart, humming bird’s wings.
When that girl says goodbye. I feel a sting.
I tell her, she can have it all, as she plays with my heart.
But her eyes look into mine as if we’re worlds apart.”
I sing back to the crowd and the overwhelming feeling of joy I have reminds me why I wanted to be in a rock band in the first place.
The last song we sing is, Gin Tonic, written by Jax, and It’s probably the most catchy of all of our songs.
“I f*****g conic. Gin f*****g tonic.
My f*****g savage, a mouth I want to ravage.
Nails down my body, you know I like them naughty.”
Everyone sings along to this song as well and dirty dance with their partners, or jump around getting lost in the music.
Zoe comes in with the drum solo and heads bang like crazy, as I finish our last song.
After the show ended in perfection I heard Zoe was in the tour bus, s**t-faced Thanks to the guys for encouraging her to take shots and she apparently told a reporter about a new song we were writing, when she wasn’t supposed to.
I walk into the bus and see the guys playing cards on the mini table.
“Where is she?” I ask the guys who point to the table in the back where Zoe and Steel play Jacked up Janga and laugh.
“There you are,” I tell her and she looks up at me with her beautiful drunken eyes and smiles lazily.
“Hey there handsome, wanna play?” She asks me as she reaches for the bottle of Jack and I pull it away from her.
“Oh no, am I in trouble?” She asks with a small hiccup and puppy dog eyes.
“You bet your beautiful ass you are,” I tell her and she tries to take the bottle back from me, but I throw it on my bed.
“Take a walk with me,” I demand and she shakes her head.
“Nuh-uh. You’re just going to bicker, and then I’m just going to bicker, and then we’re just going to...”
“Do I have to carry you out of here?” I ask her and she shoots me a playful smirk.
“Yes Daddy, I’ve been a very bad girl.” She says in an innocent way followed by a hiccup. Steel laughs hysterically.
“Oh for the love of...” I pick her up and throw her over my shoulder just to have her pinch my but cheeks while she hangs upside down.
“Hey Zoe, where’s he taking you?” Grayson asks amused as I pass him.
“Daddy’s going to teach me a lesson.” She says in a seductive way and I grin like an i***t as the guys laugh.
“Ignore her, that’s the booze speaking,” I tell them as I walk out of the bus and place Zoe down. She nearly stumbles so I hold her by the waist.
“Do you realize what you’ve done?” I ask her in a more serious tone.
She clears her throat.
“I’ve made you very angry.” She observes and I nod.
“Yes, you did. Zoe, you leaked information of a new song we haven’t even finished writing, given other bands the opportunity to take our idea since it’s not copyrighted yet.”
“All I said about the song is what it’s going to be about. I never said any lyrics.” She explains defensively.
“Really?”
“Yes really. I told them it was a sexy song, unlike any other sexy song. I only told them enough to get them excited.” She says and I sigh deeply.
“Well then I guess that’s okay, just please don’t talk to the press while you’re drunk, or high. I’ve done that in the past before and regretted it. I’m sorry for assuming Zoe.”
She shrugs.
“It’s no biggie, but you know what is a biggie?” She asks as she leans in closer to me.
“What? Dare I ask?” I say before she whispers, “That c**k between your legs that I’ve noticed got hard a few times during the show, that you covered up with your guitar.”
I groan deeply as I hold her face in my hands and look down at her plump lips that I imagined wrapped around the c**k in discussion.
“And do you know who’s fault that was?” I ask her and she whimpers softly.
“Me?”
“Yes, you. The way you played with such passion, the good energy you gave the crowd, and your beautiful damn t**s that nearly bounced out of your tank top as you played. That’s why I had to hide my erection, and why I almost forgot the lyrics to the songs.”
My admission has her gasping and I kiss her fiercely pining her up against the bus and feeling her writhe beneath me with a sexy moan. She sucks my bottom lip into her mouth and grinds into my body.
“Hey!”
*bang, bang, bang*
Who dares interrupt this moment? I pull away from Zoe’s addicting mouth to see Grayson smack his hand on the side of the bus.
“You two can have hot make-up s*x later, we’ve got to get this bus on the road.” He tells us and I nod.
“Ready?”
“Oh yeah.” She says biting her lip and I pull her towards the bus.
