Damien was excited for his mate and Kenny to be in the house. He had a whole dinner planned to welcome them home. He had hoped Casey would tour the house before dinner, but she hadn’t left her room. Damien left his office and went to check on his mate. He knocked on her door, but there was no answer, so he slowly opened the door and peaked in. His mate was sleeping, she was covered by the huge duvet, and Damien’s urge to go up to her and lay beside her consumed him. He stood by the door long enough for it to be considered creepy. He knew he couldn’t go to his mate, so he backed up, closed the door, and went back to his office.
