Emily and Jason strolled through the softly lit garden, the night air filled with the sweet scent of blooming jasmine. As they walked, Emily's eyes sparkled like the stars above, hinting at a beauty that was both captivating and elusive. There was a hardness to her demeanor, as if she had built walls to protect herself, but Jason could sense the warmth beneath it all.

They spoke for hours, laughed and shared secrets, weaving a tapestry of connection between them. Jason showed her around the house, his pride evident as he pointed out the little details that made it special. When they reached the bedroom where she would be spending the weekend, he paused, their eyes locked for a moment that felt electric.

"This is your space for the weekend," Jason said, his voice low and inviting. The room was bathed in the soft glow of moonlight, creating a romantic atmosphere that made her heart flutter. They stood together, talking more, the night wrapping around them like a cozy blanket.

So, after that cool night, the morning light streamed through the window, and Jason woke up feeling a mix of excitement and confusion. He remembered the fun they had, but the reality of their situation hit him hard. Emily was there for a contract marriage, and he was just a pawn in his father's game.

When he stepped into the kitchen, he found Emily pouring herself a cup of coffee, her expression serious. "Morning," she said, not looking up.

"Morning," Jason replied, trying to keep his tone light, but he could sense the tension in the air. "So, did you sleep well?"

Emily shrugged, her voice flat. "It was fine." Just thinking about... everything.""

Jason leaned against the counter, crossing his arms. "Yeah, well, it’s not like we can ignore it. "We both know why you’re here," he said, a hint of irritation creeping into his voice.

Emily finally looked at him, her eyes narrowing. "And you think I’m just going to fall for you because of some stupid contract?

She shot back, her attitude sharp.

Jason felt a pang of frustration. "I never said that! "I’m just trying to figure out how we’re supposed to act around each other. "You’re acting like I’m not even worth your time," he replied, trying to mask his feelings.

Emily rolled her eyes. "You’re not my type either, Jason. This whole thing is just a formality for both of us. "So let’s not make it more complicated than it has to be," she said, her tone dismissive.

The air was thick with unspoken feelings, and both of them knew they were walking a tightrope. Jason wanted to push back, but he also knew that Emily was right. They were both in a situation neither of them wanted, yet here they were, forced to navigate it together.

Emily was to sign the contract later that afternoon. She just wasn’t in the mood.

So, after Emily signed the contract, Jason thought it was time for a change of pace. He wanted to break the ice and maybe even create a bond with her, so he planned a fun night out.

They decided to hit up an art exhibition downtown, thinking it would be a cool way to explore and spark some interesting conversations. But when they got there, Emily seemed a bit distant. She was lost in her thoughts, not really engaging much with the art or Jason.

Noticing this, Jason felt a bit frustrated. He thought, "How am I supposed to connect with her if she’s not even here?" Instead of calling his dad for advice, he decided to take a moment to gather his thoughts. He knew he had to step up his game, especially since he was used to chasing after girls with charm and confidence. This time, though, it felt different.

Determined to lighten the mood, Jason started cracking jokes about some of the weird art pieces. Slowly, Emily began to smile, and he saw a flicker of interest in her eyes. As the night went on, they decided to grab a drink at a nearby bar. They both ordered cocktails, and as the drinks flowed, so did their laughter.

Jason was trying to be a little tough and play it cool, but he couldn’t help but let his guard down. Emily, too, was feeling the vibe and started sharing stories about her life. They both opened up about their dreams and ambitions, and the initial tension began to fade.

At one point, Jason suggested a game of "truth or dare" to keep the fun going. They dared each other to do silly things, like singing karaoke in front of strangers or trying to dance with the weirdest moves they could think of. The night turned into a whirlwind of laughter, and they both got a bit tipsy, which only added to the craziness.

By the end of the night, they were both feeling adventurous. They stumbled out of the bar, still laughing, and ended up at a nearby beach. The moonlight reflected on the water, creating a magical atmosphere. They decided to sit on the sand, talking about everything and nothing, feeling a deeper connection forming.

Even though they didn’t take things to the next level, that night was a turning point for them. They experienced a wild, fun night that brought them closer together, and Jason felt like they had finally started to form a friendship, which was a great first step for the next two years they would spend together.

The next day, after their wild night out, Emily woke up feeling hungover and starving. She had been in her room for a while, trying to shake off the effects of the drinks from the night before. But she was also feeling serious about something else – she was ready to leave.

Emily didn’t see Jason around and felt a little bit of regret for not being able to say goodbye to him. She knew she had to get back to her life, especially since both of there parents had already planned an engagement party for them.

With the engagement coming up, the rules of their communication changed. They both knew they couldn’t really talk much until after the engagement was official. This meant that Jason and Emily would have to start living together as a couple, which was a big step. So, she left without saying goodbye, and Jason never reached out to check on her. Time passed, and they both went about their lives without any contact.

One day, while attending a fancy event where rich people and business folks gathered, Emily stumbled upon Jason. She didn’t expect to see him there and felt a mix of emotions. At first, she thought he wouldn’t want to talk to her, but to her surprise, he approached her. Jason apologized for not checking in after their night together. He had been busy with his own life, and she could sense that he was trying to give her space.

“I am so sorry, I haven’t been able to reach out to you," he said.

Emily replied, “It’s alright, I wasn’t expecting you to reach out.

Emily felt a bit awkward but appreciated his honesty. They talked briefly, trying to navigate the tension that had built up between them since she left. She didn’t want to make things complicated, but it was clear that there was still a connection lingering in the air. They both knew that the engagement would soon change everything, and it left them both wondering what the future held for them.

Emily decided to visit her boyfriend, but when she got there, she could tell something was off. He was acting weird, and it made her so anxious. She finally mustered the courage to ask him what was wrong. After a bit of hesitation, he opened up and showed her some pictures he had found online. They were of Emily out in a public place, looking really close to Jay during their previous dates. Since Jason is a celebrity, someone snapped Emily and Jason together, and posted them on social media. That was how Andrew stumbled upon them. He had to confirm what was going on between his girlfriend and the billionaire Jay,

She felt the pressure, so she quickly refused,

"It was just a work event babe, nothing serious," Emily said,

She didn’t want Andrew to think it was anything more than that, especially since she was in a contract marriage with Jason. All she wanted was to marry Jason and keep things simple,

So she reassured Andrew that there was nothing to worry about. He believed her because they had been together for a long time, and he trusted her completely.

They spent some quality time together afterward, but deep down, Emily was struggling with her feelings,

She loved Andrew, but the contract marriage was complicating everything.

Feeling overwhelmed, Emily decided she needed to talk to somebody about all this. She headed over to her best friend's place hoping to unload her thoughts, her childhood friend and partner in crime, Jessica.

She is Emily’s bff. They have been friends since middle school. Jessica was one person Emily was grateful to God for having. She was like a sister to her. They literally used to do everything together when they were growing up.

When Emily got there, she shared everything that was weighing on her. Her best friend listened and offered advice. She made Emily feel a bit lighter after their heartfelt talk.

Emily felt better and more at ease with her situation. She returned home a little more hopeful about how to navigate her complicated feelings, and how she would break the news to Andrew.

Emily and Jason went out one day, and Jason decided to take Emily along for a fun horse riding trip. She was a bit scared at first, especially when it came to riding horses, but with Jason's encouragement, she gained the confidence to try it out.

Everything was going well, until, while Jason stepped away to take a call, another guy started talking to Emily.

Jason saw this and got really protective, almost ready to confront the guy, asking why he was talking to his wife.
