The Unexpected Invitation
The next morning, the university campus was alive with excitement.
Students hurried between buildings, collecting clearance forms, discussing Convocation Week, and making plans for the days after university.
Nadia stepped off the bus near the university gate and adjusted the strap of her handbag.
She had barely taken a few steps when she noticed something unusual.
The black SUV from the previous day was nowhere to be seen.
Neither was the man in the dark cap.
Instead, the campus felt strangely quiet.
