Sparks started to fly up her arm and it rattled her brain even more. She was so dizzy she couldn't think straight. She felt so drunk on her feelings but the person in front of her looked so unaffected. The bond couldn't be one-sided. It was the alpha's son Mike. He had already gotten his wolf so it couldn't be all in her head could it? The second she looked into his eyes she knew. For her time had stopped. Kai rushed forward and began to purr mate. Mike never said it back and his wolf never came forward. He didn't even bother to smile. Mai knew where the conversation would end up. He didn't want her and he wasn't sorry. "Look, I'm not gonna beat around the bush here. I already have someone who I want to be my mate." She could only nod her head because her words kept getting stuck. They wouldn't come out. She wanted to ask if his wolf felt the same, but from his lack of appearance she knew that she wasn't being rejected alone. Mike's wolf Tim was rejecting Kia too.
"I plan to take Summer as my chosen mate and Luna of Crescent Night Pack. She's been my friend since childhood and my girlfriend for four years. We know each other well and understand each other. I have no interest in the mate bond. It has no meaning to me and I would rather not get attached, especially to someone like you who is obviously beneath me." He was being painfully unnecessary with the insults, even if he was trying to get his point across. "You're so useless you can't even stick up for yourself. Your body is so hard to look at I think it's giving me a migraine. You have zero charm and wouldn't even be fuckable to a badger. If you had a pretty face, at least then you would have an excuse to fight for the bond, but you can't even do that."
Although his words were meant to hurt the person, Kia took all of the pain. She couldn't believe their goddess had paired them up with someone like him. Are you okay Mai? Yeah, I'm fine. Are you okay Kia? Mai completely ignored the d**k in front of her and only focused on her wolf. Her mate was supposed to love and take care of her, but most importantly, they were supposed to keep her safe from harm. But ironically, the one person who was supposed to be her oxygen turned out to be f*****g carbon monoxide.
I don't like him Mai. He's an asshole and he'll hurt us more and more, again and again, as long as we hold on to this shitty bond. Not to mention, he seems like the unfaithful type. He says he has a girlfriend but I can smell multiple shewolves from all the way over here. We are definitely rejecting him. Mai never would have thought that her wolf would be the first one to throw away their mate bond. Wolves normally refuse to reject their mates simply because the chances of getting a second one is lower than winning the lottery. Although Mai was having a very important talk with her wolf, to Mike it seemed like she was ignoring him. Truthfully, she was and that pissed him off even more. He already didn't wanna be there standing in front of her, when he could be somewhere else balls deep in an easy one. "Let's get this s**t done and over with. I Mike Henderson, future alpha of the Crescent Night Pack, reject you Mai Davis, as my mate and luna. With this rejection, I sever this mate bond." I'll be fine Mai. Reject him. We don't need a mate if they act like him. We'll be fine.
"I Mai Davis accept and reject you Mike Henderson, future alpha of Crescent Night Pack as my mate. With this rejection, I sever this god awful mate bond." There was no pain that came with the separation. Two souls were split apart but she felt like she could run a marathon. The same couldn't be said for Mike though. He didn't show it before, but she could clearly see and hear that he felt every bit of their bond ripping away from each other. It looked excruciating and well deserved. The permanent smirk on his face was gone and so was their bond.
