Part 3

Thoughts of what happened to her last night filled her head causing the already tormenting headache to increase. Tears were already forming at the thought of last night. Quickly she pushes them away and decides to get ready for school. Although she didn't want to go she had to. Her uncle would never allow her to stay home. With that she performed her morning routine while carefully hiding her slightly swollen eyes and left with the driver before anyone else woke up. At school she had to keep up with everyone's expectations and it was breaking her from the inside. Keeping a fake smile, pretending everything is OK and avoiding the history teacher who for a while now seemed to notice her whole act. This was hard to do since she had him for two periods daily. Everytime she looked down in class he would question her asking “what Happened ?”, “are you okay?” to which her answer was always the same. She was a particularly unusual child who had been the center of lots of rumors at school. She kept to herself most of the time and this only encouraged the rumors. All this meant nothing to her. She couldn't care less about it as her life was basically home to school and back. The friends she had at school were basically non-existent. Even though she felt alone most of the time, she knew that she couldn't rely on them. The last time she had tried they turned it into a joke, which she was forced to laugh along to. Tamika was aware that most of her friends were fake, but she decided to let it go and not stir up the pot. Lila was an exception, she was a childhood friend who Tamika had known ever since she was four. School went as usual and at the end decided to walk to Lila's house with her in order to continue their age-long tradition of sleepovers every weekend . They arrive at Lila's house and Tamika suddenly feels a wave of relaxation as she sits down on the couch worry free. Later on they moved on to the bedroom and hung out for a while talking and painting each other's nails. Things were going well until bedtime came and she started to notice the little things that made her uncomfortable. She pushed them off as her imagination simply being over active. As Lila and Tamika both slept Tamika felt the exact same way she did when she saw the doppelganger monster in her hallway. The feeling made her realize it was there again and with that she closed her eyes tightly and hoped it would go away. It didn't and after a while she found herself alone in the living room alone. She tried to run but to no avail. The monster was already there and it was not happy. It dragged her again to the roof top and hit her continuously with a stick. After a while on the roof alongside the monster she couldn't fight it anymore and fell to the floor. The monster smiled and disappeared into the house. She couldn't get up nor could she call for help. In her final hours she laid there hoping her family would find her but no one came. She later gave up her ghost and it brought her back to the moment she was in now.
