"Who are you?"
I made my voice and words crystal clear that everyone here can hear me.
There was complete silence like I murdered someone and they can't believe it.
I can feel their gaze on me, but all this time I was staring at the man in the door way, he is Nate, who is responsible for all this trouble.
He didn't say anything.
"You brought her here?"
Did he simply ignore me.
"I came here." I said in harsh tone.
"My men saw that you were brought out by him from your home"
" They didn't drag me"
"Kill them" Nate said to his men.
Before they move any further. "Stop...." I screamed.
Nate didn't have any expression on his face and was staying calm. His men were watching him for his order. The man who brought me here finally spoke.
"Mr. Night, you know we can't let her live, when I came to know she has connection outside my territory."
"Still, I have the final say here. Or do you want to know how I do it" said Nate.
"I don't know what you are all talking about. I don't know why you all involved in my life. I don't want to have any relationship or connection with you all" I shouted and my point clear
"Do you want us to believe it" Nate and the man said at the same time.
"I don't care. I'm just living my life." I turned towards Nate and said "I killed that person, is just self defence and for my own protection. I'm not paid killer and nothing. I don't want to involve in your gangster fight." I said I one go. Before anyone can speak. I again started speaking this time to the man (I don't his name yet)
" You can keep watching me, I won't run away from here. And I don't know him either. You can believe me, I won't be the person to get you involved in anything."
"If what you said is true, why were you trying to get guns; especially from black market." said Nate before I could say anything he said "Save your answer if you want to tell me it was for safety purposes ."
"Before I could explain anything. Can someone say who you are. And who is he? " I pointed to the man who took me here, while asking Nate.
"He is local gangster for drug and weapons dealing both legal and illegal, he is Master Shen. But I'm strong in power." said Nate.
I didn't believe him. But, I can't do anything now as I don't have any way to go against them.
"Hmmm" this is all I said to them.
"Leaving her, won't be safe for us".
"She is my responsibility."
I didn't say anything but glared at him.
He gave me a question look, as he didn't understand my stare.
"And she is going to continue living here, until she feels secure by my side." said Nate.
Did these idiots even consider me or my opinion. I shook my head and stood there. Yea moving from here or trying to escape will be worst idea. They might get any thought of their own wish and don't need to brief about what will be their next move.
"Do you keep eye on her" I came out of my thought once I heard they spoke about me.
I turned around and then it's him,Nate was looking at me and turned towards Master Shen. "I will visit here everyday."
I sighed and took step back to get support of the wall to stand. They continued to talk, but ignored them. I was in my own thought. Suddenly, I remembered the girl who I saw near the library, who was giving flyers. Her smile still remains fresh in my mind. This is different. No one caught my attention these days and the girl memory, is something different, I feel happy, secure when ever I remember her.
"Shall we go?" I came out of my thought. I nodded after giving him a stare.
"It won't be same, if anything happens in the future." said Master Shen.
"Rest assure, I will take care"
Holding my hand, Nate took me out of the place. I didn't say anything to him. He hold my hand, like I'm a child.
"Fine, my place is near by" I said.
"Do you want to stay here?" asked Nate
I said "Off course. This where I live."
"It won't be safe after Shen found you out." said Nate.
"I can take care. No worries."I said
" Do you even know who he is and how dangerous it is to stay here? "
" I know. "
He inhaled and said " Fine. Could you atleast let me visit you everyday"
"what?" I was shocked.
"Is there any better way, to keep you safe.?"
I nodded my head as disagreement and started walking.
