Chapter 31

871 Words
Bruce is going through the file of the summer 28th exchange in the car as they were on their way back. He requested Ryan to go find out more information about each and every person that was from the Down Under Pack that went to the exchange. He wanted their profile as soon as possible to try and identify that bloody jerk. It took Ryan a few days to consolidate all 20 pack members. He sent the thick file personally to Bruce’s home when he was done. Bruce is now in his home office looking through the profiles. There was a profile of a pack member that stood out amongst the rest. Rank: Gamma Name: Marcus Fleming Mate: Ellese Andrew Fleming Pup: Sarah Fleming (Born: Spring MMXVI) Bruce counted the numbers when the summer exchange took place. The pup would have been 4 years old at that time. Therefore he cancelled out this possibility that this Gamma would have been her mate as he already had a mate and a pup. He looks through the rest of the profiles and nothing seems out of place. He has hit a roadblock at this point. He couldn’t figure out which one was the bloody jerk. It was late at night already, his mate had gone to bed. Bruce sighs in defeat. He urgently wanted to find out who that guy was and beat the s**t out of him. But right now, he couldn’t even figure out who it was. He couldn’t just ask his mate. He did all these without her knowing. He thought it was easy, “find the guy, beat him to death and Loulou would come falling into his arms”. He might have watched too many movies. Bruce took out his cellphone and made a long distance phone call. Right now on the other side, it would be day time. “Hello” the voice over the line said. “Hello. It’s a me, Mario” Bruce said. The voice answered in delight, “Princess Peach speaking.” *chuckles* “ I miss you sonny”. Bruce is always a funny person. He always cracks jokes with his friends and family. Bruce: I miss you too mom. Bruce’s mom: So, what is bothering my son now? Bruce: How did you know something is bothering me? Did Beckett say something? Mom: Becky? No, she didn’t tell me anything. You’re my son Bruce. I know when something is bothering you. Bruce sighs. Bruce: Mom, I found my mate a while ago. Mom: WHAT? You found your mate? Congrats baby ! But why is this bothering you? Did she… not accept you? Bruce’s mother carefully chose her word. She didn’t want to mention the word, “reject”. Bruce: It’s not that mom. She… she can’t sense that I’m her mate at all. Something is off here and I don’t know how to fix it. Mom: Hmmm.. This sounds like there is more to it. Bruce: Yes mom…. She…lost her wolf. Bruce starts to choke as he is reminded of Loulou’s past and her pain. He couldn’t bring himself to say it all. He feels that he might have a mental breakdown if he does it here alone and he will not have a clue what Wayne can do when he loses control. In a serious tone Bruce’s mom comforted him. Mom: Bruce, would you like to come home? You know we are always here for you. We can talk about this and with your dad. He might know more about lost wolves. Bruce: Yes mom. Thank you. I’ll be back soon then. Mom: Alright. I’ll let the family know about your arrival. Bruce knew he could rely on his family. He loves his family a lot, more than himself. Mom: Could you also bring her here if possible? We can have the healers take a look at her if there’s a need. Bruce nodded and responded to his mother. He will think of a way to bring Loulou back to the palace, back to his home. ~ Bruce doesn’t really need to think of a hard way to get Loulou to follow him back home. It’s easy ! Just ride on what she likes and she’ll agree readily. At breakfast, Bruce calmly mentioned to Loulou that she should take a vacation. Loulou: Huh? To where? I don’t have any money. Bruce: I do have a business trip that I have to go to. If you want to take your vacation, I can bring you along then it will be paid by the company. It will be FREE Loulou. Loulou perked up at the word, FREE. Loulou: Oh, where is your business trip to? Bruce: Some place far. We will have to take the airplane. Bruce knew that if it was anything new to her, she would be eager to go. Loulou: Aeroplane? I’ve never been on one. Bruce: Yeah? And then the first time you’re sitting it, it’s gonna be first class. Loulou: Whoa. Bruce: There will be yummy food. And more yummy food when we reach the place. Loulou: Food ! So when is your trip? Bruce: When can you finish packing? Bruce smirked at his victory.
