Chapter 41

Ryan drove the pair to the Down Under pack. Upon reaching, they were led by two warriors to a meeting cabin. The cabin had a long wooden table and wooden chairs. They were all seated down but stood up when the lycans entered. Loulou stood outside the door, hesitating a bit.

The Alpha, Tony was present with his Luna. Beta and his mate together with the gamma Marcus and his mate. The ranked members all greeted the lycan and the prince. Bruce turned to look behind him and notice Loulou wasn’t coming in. He went back out to get her, this time holding her shoulders.

Marcus was in shock when he saw his ex-mate. “What was she doing here?” He immediately thought. Even after not seeing her physically for more than 6 years, he could still recognize her instantly. His wolf was howling inside of him, blaming him for rejecting their moon mate. His mate senses something was amiss but didn’t question.

Loulou could distinctly identify Marcus’ scent. It used to be one of her favourite scent, now it repulses her and she wants to get it out of her nose real fast. Bruce patted her shoulders cue-ing her.

Loulou took a deep breath and she faced Marcus. “ I, Louisseena Maximillian, daughter of a true Alpha, Leonard Maximillian, rejects Marcus Fleming as my mate for his forceful mark on another shewolf when he was blessed with a moon mate.” said Loulou firmly. She spent no time getting her words out.

As she ended her last words, Louisseena’s body shivers as if her body was cold and trying to shiver out a goosebump. She stumbled a little but only to be supported strongly by Bruce.

Marcus clenched the wooden table and soon it broke off. All the ranked members were staring at their gamma. The horror in their faces when they realized what just happened. He had hid this fact from the rest of his pack. All for that position possibly?

Marcus had wanted to be a rank member when he was young. He was sick and tired of others bullying his brothers and him for being rankless and weak. His desire only got worse when they bullied his sister. When he went to the Raydiant Pack, in his days there, he did not meet any alpha daughter. How did this girl turn out to be a true alpha daughter? 

Suddenly, Louisseena stood back up steadily with strength. Her eyes glowed red for everyone to see. Indeed, it was the eyes of a true alpha. Marcus’ mate hisses at Louisseena. This time, Louisseena spoke but with a voice slightly different from before. “ You presented yourself as a loyal wolf to your pack and filial man to your parents. But here you are, a cheater to me and a liar. Yes, you have every right to love someone else but you did it the wrong way. The goddess will bestow her punishment upon you now”.

Louisseena turned her head towards Marcus’ mate, “ as for you, you will also bear his punishment for the rest of your long life. I hope at least you teach your pup properly.”

Marcus howled in pain as he fell to the floor. His wolf was saying goodbye to him. His wolf was leaving him. This was his punishment. The goddess was recalling her wolf pup from Marcus, back into the wolf realm. If he was strong he would be able to live out the rest of his life like a normal human. If he wasn’t, there’s no saying what would become of him.

As the bond was finally and fully broken, Louisseena’s eyes went to black after she said her final word. Her body started shaking with increasing speed.

Bruce knew what was going to happen. Immediately he scooped her up close to his chest and ran out of the cabin towards a clearing. He carefully lays her down on the ground as her body continues to shake. Louisseena’s bones started cracking as she held back her scream. It was painful, as painful as her first shift. It was like her first shift.

Out came a beautiful all black wolf. This made people in the cabin gasp as they looked through the window. They knew of the legend of the black and white wolf but never in their hundreds years would they think they met one. 

Raven bolted into the woods as soon as she found her senses. Bruce swiftly follow behind, deciding to shift into this Lycan. It was Wayne who found her mate. He would want Wayne to meet his mate too in wolf form. It was also quicker this way to catch up with Raven.

Raven run and run forward nonstop. She wasn’t sure what she was doing. All she knew she had a burst of energy in her. She felt herself, she feels a little smaller than what she was before. She must have been reborn. Up ahead she smelled a bunch of fresh air, it was a clearing towards a small cliff. She ran faster ahead, jumping in the air above rocks and stopped at the top edge of the cliff. With all her strength, she let out the loudest lone howl. She was finally free again, back into this world.

The sound of rocks could be heard behind her. Raven turned around, enticed by the scent. It was her favourite scent together with Louisseena. Lavender and cottage breeze.

There stood alone, a tall lycanthrope whose fur was all white. “Mate.”, Raven made a small howl at him. Wayne acknowledges in return and proceeds towards her. At the same time, Raven also took steps towards him. They fell into an embrace with the lycan ruffling her fur. 

Wayne shifted back first. His pants was ripped and long gone but he took off his shirt and held onto it when he shifted. “Raven,” he said as he buried his head in her fur. Raven purrs at the sound of him calling her. She wanted to talk to him but she couldn’t as they haven’t mark each other yet.

Raven sat down in front of Bruce and she shifted in his arms. Bruce used his white shirt as usual and put it over Louisseena. When she was done, Louisseena opened her eyes. They were still glowing, indicating that Raven was in control. “ Bruce…mate. Thank you”  Raven softly while cupping his face.

“Chloe Maximillian” Raven reported to Bruce. “What?” Bruce was confused. Who is Chloe?

“ Chloe Maximillian, she always wanted to change her name. This is the name given by the goddess. Chloe.” Raven smiled. “ I’m sorry Bruce, it took so long for us to recognize that our mate is right here by our side all this time. I was… too hurt to come out. The bond wasn’t broken and I couldn’t step out of it one inch. I couldn't be with her to protect her in times of need. Thank you Bruce, for always protecting her.” Raven whisper the last few words, losing her energy. Her eyes now closed and have fallen asleep. She had used a lot of her energy coming out of the deep realm. 

Bruce planted a kiss on her forehead, “rest well my love, Chloe.” He said her new name for the first time.
