I knew I wouldn't be able to control myself if I kept crying. I wiped my tears roughly, opened my eyes, and looked at Miss Bannock. She nodded at me encouragingly, indicating that she was ready to accompany me. I grabbed her elbow and pulled her along with me. At first we didn't notice anything, until we heard someone shouting, demanding attention and then an urgent voice demanding that somebody tell him where he could find Daniel.
