Slowly making my way back to the edge of the clearing, I saw a figure standing in the middle of the clearing, watching me with a stern look on its pale face, but I couldn't tell who it was exactly. They stood there, silent as the moon shone brightly overhead as I made my way towards them. I stopped in front of them when I finally reached them, not uttering a word nor making any sudden movements that may cause my wound to reopen as I had promised my parents, and looked nervously at them, waiting for them to say something. A strange mixture of emotions swirled inside of me, mixed with guilt, fear, anger and sorrow, as my eyes filled with tears, yet I still remained silent, waiting patiently for my parents to speak.
