After another couple of moments, I managed to slip silently into the next corridor.
The building I was standing in was enormous. As I continued down the long hallway, I noticed that there were lots of rooms, probably to store things like food or wine, which was odd as the vampires usually ate raw meat and drank blood. As I approached the end of the corridor, I noticed a large sign hanging above the open doorway:
"This way." I murmured to myself. Following the directions carefully, I found myself in a small, dark corridor that seemed to lead straight into the heart of the house. I hesitated for a second before entering the room, expecting to face something unpleasant, but instead I was greeted by an extremely bright light shining directly onto me.
