Chapter 8Gravity is not friendly, yet it really likes to hold onto things. I’m discovering that as I fall. And I’m not alone. That’s what has me worried. Worried, mind you, not panicked. Something with wings grabs me. It’s gray, but not overly large. I think I hear it apologize as it shifts trying to hold onto me without digging claws into my skin. It’s a good thing that my slacks and shoes have already been ruined because now I’m certain I have holes in my black suit jacket. Unfortunately the flying creature can’t bear my weight.
