Chapter 19There are screams of surprise and pain as hail pelts everyone and everything below. I hear Valkyrie shriek. One of them dares to fly up into the fog to attack me and I feel her brush by me, but she slams into the wall behind me.
Lightning brightens the underworld. Is Thor trying to hit me? Thunder roars around me. As I stand there circling my arms and churning the air, I realize that the lightning is actually reflecting off all the clouds and making it really hard to see, much like driving in fog with your car’s bright lights on. Nothing but white can be seen. I can’t even see the Valkyrie who hit the floor. I know she’s lying behind me somewhere under the blanketing fog.
