Chapter 6: The Sheitan’s Gift

1498 Words
Everyone in the city gasped as they stared at the jinn sitting in silence. Yayis gazed at the white-haired with round, watery eyes. “Iblis is the vicious jinn who disobeyed God. He’s the accursed jinn who’s denied God’s mercy! Curse him, humans! This is your sworn enemy!” All the humans started screaming and cursing him collectively. Yayis opened his mouth to speak, noticing the guards staring at him. He lowered his head, tears rolling down his cheeks. “It’s all true.” Iblis stood up again as the yellow-haired pulled him by a chain linked to the jinn’s neck. “I’m Iblis. Know that your puny insults mean nothing to me.” He kept his chin up. “I already lost, and your existence is meaningless for me. I would have killed you all if I had the chance, but dragging you to hell with me is much better.” He smirked widely under his mask. “I may be chained now, but wait until I’m free. I will make sure you all pay back. Follow me, and I will surely drag you to Jahannam, down to the lowest gate.” The yellow-haired grinned. “What a beautiful beast. Unbreakable spirit. A truly wonderful creature. I will enjoy taming you further. You will see. You will love your new God!” Iblis remained silent and didn’t react as the yellow-haired whipped him repeatedly, trying to make him scream. The yellow-haired started getting angry, and Iblis spoke again. “Will you stop your bug bites if I do something?” He turned his head to the yellow-haired, and a whip blew his mask away. His long white hair fell on his face instead, hiding it completely. Then, Shams woke up. He glanced around, confused. “Hmm…” He stood on his own feet. “What happened? Did I sleep?” He found Yayis staring at the screen in the city centre and could see him trembling. He glanced at the screen and frowned, seeing the jinn. “Who is that fluffy white thing?” “Curse him,” Yayis spoke, “Scream and curse him like everyone else. You don’t need to know anything. That’s your enemy. Curse him. Even if you shouldn’t, even if he’s already cursed, curse him.” Shams frowned and nodded. “Um…” He held Yayis’s sleeve. “C-Curse you, evil fluffy thing!” Everyone stopped screaming, hearing him. They glanced at him strangely then looked back at the white-haired. Shams laughed nervously. “Am I wrong?” “Thanks.” The white-haired cracked his neck. “I wasn’t aware that I was fluffy, human. Mud jars are only capable of uttering nonsense.” He broke the shackles easily. “Well, I want to drag humans to hell, but I will keep my promise and give them a gift.” The yellow-haired stared at him with round eyes. “Those are… the strongest shackles we have,” he whispered, “You’re not supposed to break them.” Iblis glanced at him and pulled his tongue out. “Iblis is weak, but you’re weaker. That’s why I will always be stronger.” He walked out of the screen and stepped in the middle of city. The humans stared at the jinn with round eyes. He rested his shackled arms on his hips and tilted his head to the side. “As for my gift, yes…” He licked his lower lip. “Let’s remove those nasty things they injected you with.” He kicked the floor. Everyone surrounding him turned into blood lumps and dropped on the floor as heaps of meat. Everyone then screamed and ran away. He raised his eyebrows. “Why did humans become so weak? Is it the lack of vitamin D?” He blinked as ten bullets pierced his back. “Ah.” “STOP RIGHT THERE!” Un stood in front of him, wielding a sword with both hands. She glared daggers at him with her soldiers. “Surrender now and go back. You have no right to kill anyone! You’re the belonging of Ain. You shouldn’t be here!” “I don’t think you understand who you’re talking to?” He didn’t move from his spot. “I’m the creation of Allah, and only He decides what happens to me. Aside from Him, I will not let anyone else humiliate me. You, the psycho you named Ain, another jinn, a human.” He paused. “I will destroy all of you, humans. I will make it my goal that you suffer the worst deaths. Be sure of it.” His blank eyes made his words lack consistency, but everyone was too afraid to notice. Iblis took another step forward, and his eyes met Yayis’s. Yayis took a step backwards, gazing into the Sheitan lord’s eyes. He frowned and hugged Shams protectively. “You won’t hurt us,” he whispered, “You won’t.” Iblis’s eyes widened slightly, hearing him. Yayis ran with the people, using them as a screen to escape. Iblis glared at him and walked towards him, each step causing an earthquake. Un stood in front of him and slashed his arm. Shams stopped, hearing her fight. He glanced behind. “Un!” He smiled brightly. “Un is so strong! She will–” His eyes flashed wide, seeing the white-haired’s claws piercing Un’s belly. She gritted her teeth and jumped backwards before falling to one knee. Iblis’s hands were shaking. “I can’t kill,” he whispered, “I can’t kill.” He forced himself to look away from her and glanced back at Yayis. Yayis gritted his teeth and ran towards him, carrying a sword in his hands. He screamed and swung the sword with all his might. Iblis jumped backwards to dodge it. The sword split the ground in perfect halves. Iblis punched it to damage the edges and gasped as Yayis kicked his face into the wall. Yayis jumped to the floor. “Go away. You’re better off in a cage!” Tears were streaming down his face, and he wiped them quickly. “I will kill you if I must. I know you’re weakened because of those rings. Leave.” Shams ran to Un and started treating her wounds. Yayis stared at Iblis, panting. “Please… leave.” Iblis stood on the floor and stared at Yayis in silence. He clenched his jaw. “But what can I do about this rage?” he whispered, his tone filled with hatred and wrath, “What will I do about it?” Yayis’s eyes widened. He took a few steps backwards. “We must run away.” He picked up Un and Shams and ran away. Iblis tuned his head to him. Blue lightning danced on his body, and he glared at the rings over his body. “Ah… The chains…” He walked in the direction everyone ran to. “The chains…” The yellow-haired ran towards him and pointed pistols at him. “Submit yourself and surrender before I shoot!” Iblis ignored him and stopped walking. “I know.” He sighed and pushed his hair backwards. “Ah, yes. I was so overwhelmed by the crowd that I forgot. It has been a while since I saw so many people at once. Humans breed like rabbits.” He clicked his fingers, and small blue orb floated above his palm. He turned to the yellow-haired, and a gunshot hit his chest. He didn’t react. He smiled instead as a line of blood ran from the corners of his lips. “I almost forgot about the little gift I was going to give to those humans.” He lifted the small orb up in the air, and blue circles started extending from it like ripples. The yellow-haired stared at the orb, confused and weary. “What is that?” He gritted his teeth and glanced at the jinn. “What did you do?!” Iblis ignored him and glanced back at the humans that were far in the distance. He shut his eyelids, searching for Yayis. “Find me…” Yayis frowned and stopped running, feeling the voice echoing in his head. “My son…” He turned behind and could see Iblis’s white hair far in the distance. “Whether you like it or not, my blood flows in yours. You are mine, forever.” Yayis felt his eyes watering again. “Whether you like it or not, Iblis will remain Iblis, and nothing will change.” They stared at one another, being kilometres apart. “Iblis is the creature who committed the sin of pride, and Iblis is the accursed one who will never repent.” Yayis took a step closer towards Iblis. “Dad… You can… try… You can…” “If you choose a different path from mine, I will not pester you. Whatever you decide is your own business. My only goal in this new life Allah gave me is to bring down humans. I don’t care what angels do. I don’t care what other jinns do. I only care about the oath I took in front of Allah. It’s the only reason why I’m still here.” “Dad… Why did you give up? You can still… repent… Just apologize…” “Yayis. Your name doesn’t suit you.” Yayis’s eyes widened, staring at blue lightning crashing on Iblis. “I want you to find me.” “Where? No… I don’t want to be with you anymore.” “When we meet again, you would have already discovered everything in details. Right now, you know nothing.” “No! I belong to Zultan now! I only answer to him!” “I will say this one last time. Whatever you do is your choice.” “Why are you ignoring everything I say?!” “Find me in the circus academy. I will make your journey there easy.” “Dad…” “Until we meet, don’t die.” “Dad…!” “Yayis…” “What will you do?” “How does it feel like to be on your own…” “Huh…” “Amidst strangers?” The blue orb burst.
