“I wanted to see Ihdaachar,” Malik said. “D-Did you get to see him?!” Shams’s eyes lit up. “How is he? Is he feeling too lonely?’” Malik lowered his head and shut his eyelids, remembering what he saw. “I don’t know.” Shams stood up and rested a hand against the door. “What?! Why? You went to see him, didn’t you?” “I didn’t see him.” “Why?” “Because.” “TELL ME!” Shams slapped his hands against the door. “WHAT HAPPENED TO HIM?!” Malik glanced at the door and frowned slightly. He pushed his hair back and sat down in silence. Shams sat down, resting his forehead against the door. “Why won’t you talk to me?” he whispered, panting. “He’s still alive,” Malik spoke again, “But he secluded himself into a barrier underground. I could have broken it, but I didn’t want to.” “Why… Why not?!
