Chapter 11 – Wrath

"Good morning Abby." I said as I arrived at the cake shop at 7.45, I don't want to be late on my first day of work right?
"Morning Fate.. go change to this uniform and wash your hands after that." She said and gave me a beautiful light purple uniform dress with a Formon's Cake and Bakery logo on it. I quickly changed my clothes and put my hair up into a pony tail.
I washed my hand, wore an apron and put on the gloves too. Abby teached me how to make cronuts slowly, I tried to learn it even thought I made a few mistakes but thank God she's really nice.
I learned really hard and tried to memorize all the recipes. After baking it, we put it on display. I learned quite a lot today and I'm happy working here though.
Suddenly I miss Luke.. Can I see his face for once? I miss him so badly and it made me a little bit sad. I looked at my phone.. looking at his contact to be exact. I don't know what to do.. press the call button or not.. press the call button or not..
"Hello." I jumped and saw a blonde guy wearing the same apron as mine.
"Hello." I said awkwardly.
"You must be the new part timer.. I'm Tyler." He introduced himself and I shook his hand.
"I'm Fate.” I smiled.
"Fate? That's a beautiful name." He said and I chuckled.
"Thanks.”
"So you'll work here everyday or?"
"Yeah everyday from 8 a.m until 2, are you a part timer too?" I asked.
"Yeah.. I'm just filling my time before I go to work full time next month.”
"You love to bake?"
"You can say that, I learned it because my mom loves cake." He said and I nodded.
He ended up teaching me how to make the icing for the cakes and it was fun. Tyler is really friendly and funny, his face is cute too but I prefer sexy and handsome like Luke.
See.. I miss him.
I walked out from the bakery and decided to call Luke. I was hoping that he will pick it up. I know 99% he won't pick up but I really want the 1% to happen though.
"Aren't you sick calling me?" My eyes widen as he picked it up.
"Luke? Oh my gosh.. you picked up." I squealed.
"I'm ending it no-"
"Wait!" I cut him but he didn’t say anything, I looked at the screen and found that he’s still listening.
"I miss you.. can I go to your office?" I asked.
"No.”
"Can we meet outside?"
"No.”
"There you are Fate.. let's tidy up the mess before Abby comes to check." I turned to see Tyler and I nodded to him.
"Luke?" The line went off, shoot! He ended the call, I stomped my feet annoy. I don't have any choice but to walk in again and tidy the mess that we made.
After ending my shift at Formon's, I go to Colton's restaurant. It’s quite far.. 8 blocks away from Formon's, I have to walk.. Yeah maybe by walking that far everyday I can get a nice booty like Candice Victoria Secret.
I walked there and plugged my earphone to enjoy some music because it will be boring when you walk 8 blocks without someone to talk.
After walking for quite long, I got inside to the Colton Restaurant. I quickly changed into their uniform and started to serve people. To be a waitress is quite hard and tiring, don't forget to mention when a guy hit on you. I hate it.
Argh I miss my bed so much.. I hate working like this but I have to prove Luke that I’m not a spoil brat anymore.
"Hailey?" I turned and my eyes widen, it's Janet.
"Hey." I said and gestured her to be quite.
"You work here?" She asked and I nodded.
"Why? You ha-"
"Luke kept calling me a spoil brat and I hate it. I'm here to prove him that I can work and I'm not a spoil brat." I said and she chuckled.
"He's coming here by the way." She stated and my eyes widen, I can't help but feel so excited.
"Really?"
"Yeah.. we haven't eat lunch so we decided to go here. This is our favorite restaurant by the way.. I used to work here and this is the place where I met Sky.” She smiled widely and I chuckled.
"Don't call me Hailey, okay?"
"What? Why? That's your name unless you have a twin that works here.”
"No no.. I just don't want them to treat me differently when they know I'm Anderson's one and only heirest." I stated and she nodded. She walked back to her table with Sky, I looked at the door anxiously.
Waiting for one particular person come..
"Fate can you go to table 3 right there?" My manager said and I walked to table 3 to serve them. My head kept turning to the door. After serving table 3, I waited for another customer to come.
I heard the door opened, I quickly turned my head. My eyes widen and a really big smile plastered on my face. I quickly take the menu and walked to them.
"Afternoon.” I greeted and Luke turned to me, his eyes widen and I gave him my best smile.
"What the hell are you doing here?"
"She's working here Luke." Janet said.
"She what?"
"I work here Lukey.. do you miss me?" I looked at him and can't believe this. I miss him and now he’s here in front of me.
"When the hell freeze." He said coldly and I pouted. I gave them the menu.
"Hailey?" I turned to see Rose, she smiled widely.
"Hey Rose.. don't call me that here." I said and she looked at me weirdly.
"Just call her spoil brat." Luke said it out of nowhere.
"Call me Fate." I smiled to Rose and she nodded. She and Max joined them and I waited for them to order.
"Salmon steak with mashed potatoes, don't add the cheese." Luke ordered
"Is that your favorite food?" I asked and he looked up to me glaring.
"What?"
"Can you stop being annoying and act like a professional waitress? Why did the hire you anyway?" He said coldly and I just stayed silent but still looking into his blue eyes.
"Don't be mean Luke.” Rose warned.
"I just miss you." I stated honestly.
"Well I hate you.. go away and flirt to another guy." He said coldly.
"Why would I? I like you.. if I want to flirt with a guy, it will be you." I said sweetly and he looked at me disbelief. I leaned down to his face and kissed his cheek.
After that, I ran away before his throw his wrath at me..
