THE FOUR KINGS

In the capital of the Glacier Kingdom, there lies a secret underground passage.

The passage leads to a series of chambers that covers a total of 500 M radius and

In the far corner of the passage lies a big and round chamber.

There… lies four glowing orbs with colors as follows; White, Red, Black, and Blue

A man wearing a hood enters the room and kneel before the glowing orbs

One of the orbs lets out a voice; it was the black orb…

“You sure took your time to drag you ass back here huh? …Vesta!”

The man was none other than Vesta! After returning to the capital, he first took care of his business in the castle in which he gave a reason for his absence in the emergency meeting that was held a day before he returns. It took him a day to make excuses to the queen and gather information on what the meeting has concluded.

Vesta is nervous and is sweating buckets! As he replied with~

“Forgive me my lord, I have some urgent business in the castle so I was not a-able to be in your presence yesterday”

The black orbs voice become furious and shouted

“Silence! you incompetent fool! I already know that you failed your mission!

I have told you to use my power with absolute cautious and yet here you are! Giving me failure!”

While the black orb is completely angry, Vesta is just kneeling in front of them and can’t come up with an excuse

-W-what should I-I do…!? Should I make a claim that this power that the black king bestowed upon me is not enough to subjugate the white lion? …Y-yeah I should say that!-

“F-forgive me my lord… this l-lowly servant admitted that he was not cautious enough…”

Then he shouted in saying his next words

“However, I also believe that the curse magic you bestowed upon me is not enough to tame the white lion!”

Upon hearing his excuse… the white orb lets out a laugh

“Pffft! Fuhahahaha~ that’s good Vesta! Hmmm! very well, I will support that excuse of yours!”

Staying in silent, the black orb’s aura skyrocketed enough to make the whole place tremble

“Y-you! Are you implying that my power is inferior to this white b-bastard! Huh!?

The power I bestowed upon you is ¼ of the power I possessed right now and the power of this white bastard that the white feline can exert is 1/5 at most!”

“!!!

For-forgive me for making such claims my l-lord! It it…~”

“Huh!!? You’re still making excuses! Fine then! I will obliterate you right now right here to show you how genuine my power is!”

By making such claim in his angered state, the black king is serious

However, the red orb representing the red king get in between him and vesta while suggesting

“Calm down black king… before you killed him, why not let him talk first on what really happen back then”

“…Tch! Fine! I will permit you to live another day Vesta!

Now give us your damn detailed report on this disgraceful failure of yours!”

The tension within the chamber has lighten, implying that Vesta is being spared in exchange of him reporting what had happened that day in complete detail.

“I-I thank you for your me-rcy my lords… I-if you wo-uld allow… I-I will start to fill you w-ith what had hap-pen back-“

“Just speak already! and clearly!”

The black king highlighted, and Vesta being startled can only replied with a “A-as yo-you wish!”

“Calm down I said black king! with you behaving like that we can’t have him give a satisfying report”

It is true that Vesta is really scared right now and can only speak like a static radio

But then the blue king suggests something.

“Why not put him in a hypnotic state then? That way his emotions will not hinder him”

This suggestion was seconded by the white king and he volunteered to be the one to do the deed

“Let me do it then, Vesta just earn a point for me and besides the white lion is the vessel of my original power so,

It is a given right?”

“Tch! Fine then! …but remember this you white bastard! Once I reclaim my power you and I will settle this once and for all! You got that!?”

The white king only replied with a laugh and proceed to put Vesta in a hypnotic state in which that his opinion with regards to this act was not even ask.

“Okay then! ⸢White Hypnosis⸥!”

A spell that numbs the brain sense of fear and put the targets body in the casters complete control. This is similar to the curse of the black king; the only difference is that unlike the curse this spell can customize the effect on the target.

And Vesta’s pupil vanish and his body stop from trembling.

He just stood in front of them like a robot waiting for orders

“Then, black king! Since you’re the who bestowed him power, I will allow you to interrogate him”

And so, the red king suggested.

“Khe! Just because you’re the eldest doesn’t mean that you are the boss of me red king! …but I will let your tone aside for now

Then Vesta! What really happen there for you to deliver me with such failure!”

Vesta then replied in a very calm manner just like they predicted.

“When I encounter the white lion in his nest, I purposely wake him up to light up his anger…

He attacks me as I continue to provoke him, then I casted the curse magic you’ve bestowed me my lord… is was successful”

“What? Successful? Then how the f**k did you fail huh?”

“Settle down black king, we have yet to hear the whole story”

Is what the red king said

“Tch! ….”

Then Vesta continued~

“After I completely put him under the curse, I thought that he also lost his sense of reason so I tested it by allowing him to run amok

But then after a while a sudden burst of unknown energy rise up to the sky in his location and it force me to step back without even realizing it”

The four kings were quiet for a second and then the blue king said:

“Ah! So that what it was, no wonder it came from the location of that forest”

“Tsk! It’s true that something like that did occur, but so what? Sorry for you, that is not what this white bastard’s power feels like khe!

I’ve been fighting him for a long time now so I’m pretty sure of it! Right, white bastard?”

The white king angrily replied

“Y-yeah, I think so too! …Hey black b***h would you stop calling me that before I decided to ruin you completely when I have my powers back!”

Just like how their color is the opposite of each other, their wavelength also does not lie in the same plane.

Upon hearing the black and white king’s claim, the red king immediately asks them~

“I-is that true white king?”

-I thought it was his! But I was mistaken!?-

“Yeah, I’m pretty sure of it, my aura isn’t like that, that was completely different”

The red king started brainstorming while Vesta continues to report

“After realizing what has happened, I tried to use to sight of the white lion to gather information

But upon doing so, I found my consciousness in a completely dark place…

And as I look up, something unbelievable stares back at me and I was force to let go of the beasts’ sight”

After hearing the entirety of Vesta’s report, he was relinquished from ⸢White Hypnosis⸥.

He was catching his breath as he struggles to remain standing but the four kings don’t care.

“Now, that is really unexpected”

 The blue king exclaimed with curiosity.

“Did you possess something like that white king?”

He added.

“As far as I know, I don’t have that kind of ability but maybe the goddess Luminous prepared something like that as counter measure in case we tried something like this?”

“We can’t deny that fact… but complete darkness, eh? I don’t think that that b***h Luminous have something like that as she is the goddess of light as well…”

The Red king suspiciously said.

“Khe! I agree with what red king said, and besides! The curse magic I bestowed to this failure (Vesta) is a singularity curse which means only the caster can lift it but according to him the curse was lifted…

I bet even that hoe Luminous can’t break through that!”

Is what he proudly claimed…

But the white king did not support the black king’s claim but instead he argued~

“Don’t call Luminous a hoe, black maggot! She is the woman whom I put my interest on, I will make her mine once we get our powers back, besides! She’s still a god of creation you know? Who knows if she created some sort of anti-four kings spell?”

“Huh? What did you say, you bastard!?”

“Th-that’s true, hmmm…. Regardless of that! This proves that we failed and Vesta did his job right…

black king, if you still think that he ruins your pride, why not you take over his body completely and get your revenge on the white lion personally, it will restore your wounded honor right?

Well? What do say? Plus, I think that it is time…

The anniversary of the day that Luminous liberated the world from our grasp will be held six days from now…

Let us gift her the best gift we can offer… that is the demise of her children that she love so much! Hahahahaha!”

While he is having a moment of excitement, the red king responded with~

“Don’t order me around Red! You’re not the boss of me!

Hey white b***h! Undo your hypnosis!”

“Alright, alright, but is this really okay Red king?

If he were to go to the surface, Luminous will surely discover that the seal she put on us has been broken…”

“It’s fine since just like what I’ve said we will give her our most marvelous gift! Which is to once again trample over her creations!”

“You’re right and besides, excluding Vesta it seems that the other three succeeded in claiming the remaining calamity beasts”

Is what the blue king said while a knock was heard in the chamber’s door

“Come in…”

The Red king said.

Three individuals who has the other three kings power appear behind under hypnosis Vesta’s back.

They are Greg who was bestowed by the white king, and task to claim the Devil Shark who possessed the black king’s power.

Rendo who has the blue king’s power and is task to the Invincible Basilisk who have the red kings’ power

And lastly, the man with the highest compatibility and can exert 90% potential of the red king’s power, Sin!

He hunted the Sky Eagle who has the blue kings’ power

The three of them kneeled before the four orbs and greeted them with

“We have returned our liege!”

The Black king laughs very loudly.

“ Fuhahahaha! That’s good! Very good! I see what you are implying Red!

We will now inflict catastrophe in this very land! Fuhahahaha! Our revenge to that detestable goddess Luminous for sealing and separating our power to her pets will now finally be executed!”

The Red king let out a sound that implies that he is smirking while the black king is still laughing.

He then asks the three this~

“Did you do exactly what you’ve been told?”

Then Sin voluntarily replied with

“Yes, my lord! We have put a perfect copy of their bodies in their respective nests,

I bet even the Elves who excels in magic can’t detect that their guardian deity, the sky eagle has been replace!”

The red king is very happy by Sin’s report.

“That’s splendid! Only the sky eagle has someone annoying in its side that will hinder us, but as a safety measures we’ve also replace the other two in case those demi-humans and the empire might notice that the calamity beast in their place has vanished! I believe you have done it perfectly as well, Greg? Rendo?”

The two answer the red king with a loud “Yes, my lord!”

“So, the only thing missing is my power huh?”

The white king is feeling left out…

The other three look at Vesta with disappointment in their eyes, especially Greg who have a history with Vesta.

-These damn mutts! They surely are cocky; the white lion is the strongest among the four you know! You guys just got lucky and use underhanded tricks to complete your mission! …Argh! Just my luck!-

“Kha! You not having your power back is the only good outcome by that failure (Vesta)”

The black king is trying to provoke the white king again but he just calmly replied

“Well, it can’t be help, we decided to task the ones who have the opposite attribute for a higher chance of success and yet the power you bestowed upon Vesta is not enough… sigh! Such a shame…”

Hearing those words made the black king very angry as he concluded that the white king’s trying to say that he is weak and unreliable.

“Argh! Hey Greg! Give me the Black shark now and I will absorb my power back so I can obliterate this white p***sy!”

Greg was startled, and he was about to hand over the Devil shark which was sealed in the ⸢Confinement Sphere⸥ that was handed out to them by the blue king.

But the Red king Stops him, claiming that black king is just being reckless

“Remember, we are under the capital, if you were to get your power back now, the flow of mana in the surface will be disturb”

Is what he argued.

But the Blue king said something unusual.

“No need to be warry of that red king”

“What do you mean?”

“It seems that there has been a disturbance in the flow of mana for a few a while now…”

“?? …now that you mention it, it seems that the change of season has been hasten”

The red king replied and the other two agrees with his claim.

When the still dizzy Vesta heard what they said he shouted which catches the four king’s attention

“ABOUT THAT MY LORDS!”

“Vesta!!! Who gave you a permission to talk!? Huh!?”

The Black king furiously said.

“F-forgive me for that, but I know the one responsible for that disturbance my lord!”

Is what he claims which picks the interest of the four kings.

“Oho? Being able to accomplish such feat puts his magic power enough to rival ours…

Interesting…”

The Red king is extremely intrigued by what Vesta just mention.

Then the black king shouted at Vesta to spill what he knows and he shakingly replied.

“Y-you see… my lords, I have been working as the grand healer of the Glacier Kingdom for ten years now, and in my 2nd year, the queen asks me to heal the prince as his body is very frail…

But upon tampering in his body, I discovered that he has a large mana pool and the magic he possesses is very strong,

Which I concluded that it was the infamous “Superior Ice Magic” limited only to the royal family but the queen has no idea about it given her sons’ condition

So, I took that opportunity to put a curse in his mana pool to slowly control it and just a while ago I manage to control and lets out a large amount of his magic enough to cause the season to change! Isn’t that amazing my lord!?”

“Mm-hmm! It is indeed amazing given that some like that will be born in under the goddess creation”

The red king is thinking carefully on what to do with what he just heard

“What you said Vesta changes something about our plan”

The three subordinates who just arrive doesn’t know the plan so they humbly ask of what it is.

As the acting leader of the four, Sin took the liberty of speaking.

“Forgive me for my lack of awareness my lords, but what is this plan you speak off?”

Then the red king looks at Sin and spoke.

“Ahhhhhh, didn’t I mention it to you four? The plan where we will use you body as vessels for us to appear in the surface with the use of all our remaining powers!”

“Th-then my lord, yo-you can exempt me from that right! Be-because you s-see! I can exert and perfectly control this power you gave me! right!???”

Sin is starting to tremble as he persuades the red king. Greg, Rendo, and Vesta holds no reason to argue with what the red king said Vesta holds in his last resort that he just told the four kings, he sees a glimpse of hope for his body might escape the future of being a vessel and losses his control over his body…

but he was mistaken… and Sin as well.

“That won’t do! You four can’t do it, you see…you are all weak! In order to absorb our original powers, we needed a vessel and the complete control over the remaining powers we have kept… and you Sin can only use 90% of what I’ve given you, well nothing will change even if it is 100% fuhahahahaha!

As he laughs, the red king looks at vesta.

“Ahhh, with regards to the prince you speak of vesta… we will use that his power as a catalyst as well as a booster as we claim our power’s back!”

Vesta loses the power in his knees, making him kneel

-No! I was keeping that as a last resort to avoid this scenario but I was a fool! I thought that I will have my revenge on this kingdom once I sided with this four!

But they think of us as no more than a vessel not a comrade! Argh! These m-monsters!-

Vesta look at the other three in his back and their eyes are already lifeless which shows the despair in their selves.

Feeling the lost of hope, Vesta still struggled and think of a way to get his body back once it has been taken over by the black king

Then a sudden thought came up!

Vesta is a healer, and the fact that he boasts that he is the greatest magician in all of BERG is because his knowledge when it comes to magic is vast

So vast that he exceeded the elves in terms of it, he is also known to have the most efficient mana control throughout the kingdom.

He is very well verse.

-That’s right! I can focus healing my brain after he take over my body for me to not lose consciousness! And I can use the prince’s mana transfer it towards the curse I planted on him and use him as my mana supplier! I can use it! I am still the owner of the curse not the black king so ther will be no problem! And once he left my body,

I will be able to regain it like nothing happen!

I can succeed! No, I will succeed! I still want to personally punish this kingdom for trampling over

My family ten years ago!-

With that! Vesta pretended to lose hope and accept his fate to be taken over by the black king

“Now then! we will now take over your body, accept it as the highest honor in your pitiful life!”

After hearing the red king’s words, Sin, Greg, and Rendo suddenly run for their lives but it was futile, as the white king casted ⸢White Hypnosis⸥ on them, making them lose control over their bodies.

But instead of running, Vesta just close his eyes and grit his teeth.

“””“Now!””””

 *Whoosh!*

*blarrrgggh!*

 *gulp*

The take over was successful and the four kings now have complete control over the four men’s body

Vesta also succeeded in his plan

“Kha! This is great! I can feel again Fuhahahaha!”

The black king said, while the other three tested their magic power first

“Hmmm… Sin’s body really is compatible with my mana. I can exert 100% of my remaining power in this body fuhahaha!”

With flames in his hand the red king laughs.

“Gregs’ body is also not bad m-hmm!”

“As well as Rendo’s”

“Kha! This failures body is so-so also!”

After a few hours of getting familiar with their new bodies, the three kings slowly absorb some of their powers from the three captured calamity beasts.

“Kha! Maybe I will give you a knuckle punch later white king!”

“Saying that with Vesta’s face looks like it is not very convincing”

“Wh-what did you say…!!?”

“Enough! You two, just focus on reclaiming your powers back black king

And I forbid you from harming the white king after doing so, we still need that body in order claim the white lion”

“Tch! You’re lucky I detest Luminous more than your white bastard!”

The white king only smiles at him.

The absorbing process will take three days as they are doing it slowly for the goddess to not notice.

…….

…..

…

And so, three days has pass and the kings successfully reclaim their powers back.

“With this marks the first step of our vendetta!

Now, we will go to the forest of doom and reclaim the white kings power!”

The red king excitedly announces…

They then depart the underground chamber and pursue the other end of the passage which led to well a few kilometers far from the capital’s gate

With their appearance in the surface…

The goddess Luminous will surely now later on.
