The Battle Plan
As he ran towards his usual pre-dawn spot in the forest, Blink stumbled upon a large winged monster and followed it to its lair. He soon concluded that the monster must have been the one that was stealing the pigs and goats of Kasgar and its nearby villages. Finding the skull of a child among the monster’s victims, Blink resolved to kill the monster with the lone spell that he could cast. He thought that he could kill it with a single well-placed shot. He soon found himself proven wrong as the monster took every shot he threw at it and never really came close to threatening it. After running all the way to his training spot and ascertaining that the monster wasn’t chasing after him, Blink stopped to assess his situation and come up with a plan to deal with the beast.
