DELILAH The next few days passed in a blur. Thankfully, the worst of the nausea subsided and by Wednesday I was able to get back to class and work. I’d spoken to Megan, letting her know that I was pregnant and that I would need a reduction in my hours. Thankfully, she was totally cool with it. She told me she’d take me down to two shifts a week, and if I wanted to work more that would always be on the table. Best of all, Jacob was supportive of all of it. While I could sense that he was a touch worried about the mother of his child running around the city going from class to work and back again, he was happy to see that I was feeling well enough to live life as I had before.
