Not easy as it looks

(chapter-6) Gun's fire??

Rose's POV

I am about to reach home. I'm walking in my neighbourhood but I'm getting creepy feeling as if someone is following me. I want to look back but I'm too afraid.

Crimes in neighbourhood are rising from last few days. I wanted to leave early from office but it would have been disappointing from Mr. Alexander's view.

I sped up and quickly rang my house bell continuosly.

"coming! coming" my mom called and she opened the door.

I hugged her..said hello to her and hurriedly ran towards my room.

I couldn't tell mom..about what is happening. I already worried everyone a lot in the past.

I closed the doors behind me..and sat leaning at the door. I hugged myself close..tears started flowing flawlessly.

Past pages started flipping as if..it is streaming live..

I was in high school then...when I was going to attend school fair. I was helping a guy who was not able to stand properly. But I didn't know..helping him will give me the worst nightmare of my life. When I was helping him, he used chloroform to make me unconscious.

when I was awake I found myself chained and tied to the bed having bruises on my body.

He was sitting beside the bed, watching news of me getting kidnapped and smiling mischieviously. At that time..I found that I am missing from last two days. I actually came to my senses after 2 days.

He looked at me suddenly and smiled creepily at me.

"you're awake..my soon to be bride" he said to me while toring my shirt with knife.

he ducked closer to me..moved his lips near to my ears..and said "let's play a little"

A cold shiver reached to my spine..I wanted to shout for help but he put knife on my throat.

"do you think..you can run?" he questioned me raising eyebrow giving me death glare and looking me with lustful eyes.

"what harm did I do to you?..please spare me.." I asked crying and sobbing.

"don't make it hard for me...you'll be my bride and then die..we'll be live eternally together" he said and laughed.

He tore my shirt apart and looked at me with disgusting eyes. He was coming closer to me and I struggled in chains trying my best not to let him touch me.

He went mad, hit me hard with back side of knife and everything became dark.

My body was lying motionless...I had no strength left in me. Everything in my life was pitched dark.

I found myself rescued in hospital. Doctors informed me...that I've been in coma for 2 months. I asked them how am I alive. They said a guy saved me and has been visiting me regularly to check upon me. But from the day I regainged consciousness..I never saw him.

I woke up and found myself lying near to door. Maybe I slept while witnessing the past.

My eyes were swollen because of heart wrenching incident gaining attention yesterday.

I gathered myself and get ready for office...I put on makeup and spectacles to hide my swollen eyes.

I reached office without having breakfast. I didn't feel like eating...so I skipped breakfast.

I entered my cabin...Mr. Alexander was waiting for me.

"hello, good morning Mr. Alexander" I greeted him in cracked voice.

"Hello..Ms. Rose, today we need the visit the site so that design and evaluations could done properly" he said.

"ok sir" I said.

"I'm telling you...do not mess up my project. It's very important for me. Don't be clumpsy at site. Okay?" he said ( taunting at me but it seems he is trying to figure out something with his way of talking)

"okay sir" I replied.

He looked at me creasing his eyebrows..opened his mouth to say something but then closed. This continued for few seconds then he looked intently at me and left without saying anything.

My phone beeped..it displayed text from Mr. Alexander I looked back he wasn't there.

It read"Is everything alright..Ms. Rose?"

Yes, I replied.

I sat on the seat and started my work. After few hours Mr. Alexander called me informing that we need to visit site.

As I opened the cabin door..I bumped in a wall and about to fall when pair of hands hold me to stand still...wait again!! I looked up..Mr. Alexander?!

I apologized but this time it's his fault he was standing right in front of door.

We both left to see the site.

It was a abandoned building, after demolition of this building..work will start. I entered with Mr. Alexander into the building to check. I quickly looked back..I felt someone's presence. Someone is definitely stalking me..I'm sure this time.

All color from my face flushed in the fear. I stopped in the tracks...Mr. Alexander looked back at me. He had horror expression on his face, he pulled out revolver from his waistcoat and fired in my direction.
