Chapter 2

The dark, deserted alley became bright when a Rolls-Royce, escorted by several Lamborghinis, stopped before a shabbily dressed man. A well-built man in a black suit stepped carefully out of the lead car. He escorted a beautiful woman out of the luxury car. The woman scanned her surroundings, her gaze falling on a shabbily dressed young man behind her. She approached him, removing her glasses as she did so. "Young Master, I'm coming. Are you sure of your decision?" she announced, her voice critical, confirming the decision she had heard earlier. "Yes, this is correct. I will accept Grandfather's offer. I will be the heir but I will not return to that house." "That's no big deal, Young Master. You accepting your brother's wish is more than enough. But what big thing could change your decision?" "That's none of your business, your job is to do as I say." "Sorry, I'm presumptuous, then what should I do?" The shabbily dressed youth sighed, looking at the beautiful girl before him. "Nothing for now. I don't have any plans yet. In that case, I'll leave first." The shabby man, who was none other than Gama, whose full name was Gama Immanuel Featherston, walked away from the girl. Gama, the grandson of the sole heir of the multi-billion dollar Featherston company, decided to accept the founder's wish to become the heir. Gama initially refused the founder's request, but now, to fulfill Sierra's wish, Gama takes and keeps her billionaire status a secret. The pain he once experienced still lingered in his heart when his grandfather threw him out because of the vicious slander he received. But now, for the sake of the woman he loves, Gama buries all those feelings just for Sierra's happiness. After arriving home, Gama entered his room and observed Sierra working diligently. After pondering for a while, she approached her. "What do you think about the cooperation agreement I'm going to negotiate? Will it be mutually beneficial for both parties?" Sierra's unexpected question took Gama by surprise. Instead of answering immediately, Gama looked at Sierra gently and lovingly. Sierra needed clarity. "Why are you just looking at me?" Sierra asked, making Gama realize her actions. "Sorry, that's not what I meant," she replied. "As for work, never underestimate the value of your efforts. Everything you do is amazing." Gama delivered the compliment while looking at the blushing Sierra. Gama grasped Sierra's hand with great emotion, their eyes locked together. "Sierra," Gama said softly. As their faces came close together, Sierra felt the atmosphere filled with the warmth of love, becoming more intimate and passionate. But the reality differed from what Sierra expected; what Gama said shattered Sierra's hopes. "I will prepare a ginger drink for you. It will warm your body and benefit your health," Gama said before releasing Sierra's hand and leaving a disappointed Sierra staring at Gama, who disappeared behind the closed door. Sierra sighed, looking down in disappointment. But Sierra didn't take long to realize what had happened and scolded herself. "How could you be so stupid, Sierra? Did you think Gama would kiss you? Oh no. That's wrong. I think my mind is messed up. I need to find a quiet place to clear my head," Sierra said irritably. She smacked herself before refocusing on her work. But Gama's handsome face was still in her mind. Sierra leaned her head on the desk hard, feeling annoyed and frustrated at being unable to forget Gama's face. Behind the closed door, Gama heard Sierra's words and smiled happily, although she felt guilty for giving Sierra false hope. "I'm sorry, Sierra. Maybe there is a better time. Wait until you really love me," Gama thought. She then went downstairs and saw her sister-in-law's husband quietly leaving the house. "Why did he just leave?" Gama wondered. Not wanting to interfere in other people's business, Gama refocused on his goal. ** The next day, an urgent order from Sierra made Gama respond quickly, rushing to get the file from Sierra's desk and delivering it to the office. Audie, who saw Gama, questioned his departure, "where are you going?" he asked with a high tone and sharp gaze. "I'm going to Sierra's office, ma'am. Sierra left her files and I need to deliver them immediately," Gama explained. "Files? Files on the Featherston Group partnership?" Audie asked again, "Featherston?" Gama quickly checked. His lips smiled at that, and a plan came to mind. "Gama, why are you silent?" The question surprised Gama. "Ha? Yes, ma'am. Right." he replied nervously. "Well then, hurry up and get going; this is important; you will be held responsible if you are slow and make Sierra's work fail. Do you understand, Gama?" "Yes, ma'am," Gama replied briefly. "Then go, why are you still here?" Audie's rhetorical question signaled the end of the brief interaction. Gama, understanding the gravity of the situation, nodded again and left. But before Gama left, he called Lopiuy, the woman who met him in the alley last night. "Lopiuy, is the company having a project?" "Yes, young master." "Good, my wife is coming. Do you know what you have to do?" "Yes, young master, I understand." "Good, very good." Gama hung up the phone and rushed to the office on his electric bike. Arriving at the office, Gama saw a car that he recognized as belonging to Jordan, a CEO in the Lowe's group of companies, the person his father-in-law, Audie, wanted as a son-in-law because of his high position in the company where he worked. Gama was curious; he rushed inside, determined to find Jordan and understand the reason for his presence. Gama kept walking, ignoring the stares of every staff member who worked at Maheswara's company. After arriving at Sierra's office, Gama heard Jordan's voice talking to Sierra.
