Chapter 4

While at the Maheswara residence, Gama had just returned, and when he opened the door, Giorgio doused him with a foul liquid. The stench of the foul-smelling liquid clung to Gama's body, "What is the meaning of this, Giorgio?" Gama demanded, his voice filled with anger and disbelief. Giorgio chuckled. There was a wicked glint in his eyes. "Consider it a parting gift from me, Gama." Audie's words were a continuation of the attack. "You've kept us waiting, Gama. Your absence shows arrogance and disrespect to this family." Jordan, who was standing with Audie, wore a look of disgust. "You took too long to come back, you've made me wait a long time," "You waited for me, for what?" Jordan chuckled at that, "Don't play dumb, Gama. Don't forget the deal we made. You have to tell Sierra right now!" "Really? On what basis are you saying that? Have you already won this cooperation project?" Jordan looked nervous until he said. "No, I didn't apply for the contract; Featherston already gave the project to someone else." "You didn't get it? Why do you look so arrogant, Jordan." Giorgio said, which took Jordan by surprise. "What are you talking about Gio? Are you defending him?" "No, that's not it. I'm just thinking, it looks like you're crazy. You've already failed but you confidently demand what you just said." "You-" "Already, stop it." Audie interrupted Jordan. "Jordana, forgive Gio. He's just talking. Whatever happens, I will support you. I'll make sure you marry my daughter." "That's right Jordan." Barbara assured. "Why would Sierra stay with a man like him. An uneducated man who only makes trouble, isn't that right ma'am?" "That's right, Jordan. And you Gama, sign the divorce papers and get out of here. I'm sick of you." "Looks like you guys still want us to split up, what do you expect from a guy like Jordan? Mom and sister Barbara should reflect on experience, a guy like Jordan is nothing to brag about, and the result will be just like sister Gio. Just a big mouth with no results." "How dare you," Gio approached and grabbed Gama by the shirt. With a sharp gaze, Gio said again, "On what basis do you insult me like that? While you are far worse than me, a poor man who only relies on his wife's sweat." "Let go of me." Gama pushed Giorgio hard. "At least I'm not a lying man, not a man who likes to leave at midnight and return in the morning." Giorgio panicked, "What are you talking about, who leaves at midnight." "I didn't say it was you. Do you think it was you?" The question, of course, raised questions for Barbara. "Is it true that you often go out at night?" Barbara looked at Giorgio suspiciously. "No, that's not true. I never did that. Yes, I did go out in the middle of the night, but I went with your permission. Did you forget that?" "So what's this?" Gama pointed to a video of Giorgio with a woman who was not his wife. "What is this, Gio? You with a prostitute?" "No, not a prostitute, a good woman!" Giorgio seemed to have misspoken. And that made Barbara's anger peak. "If not a prostitute, then what are you doing? A good woman wouldn't be making out with a married man, unless you're lying." "No, dear. I-I can explain this. I-" "I what? I'm disappointed. I want to separate. Divorce me immediately!" After saying that, Barbara left, as did Giorgio, who continued to express regret for his mistake. Gama just smiled at that; Audie, who saw that comment? "Are you fasting to see them fight, Gama? Are you satisfied to make a mess of my son's household? What do you really want Gama? You are so cunning," Gama could only stare in disbelief at Audie's words and tried to explain. "Mom, I just want to help Barbara, nothing more. Do you have the heart to see your daughter being lied to continuously by her husband? You don't support the affair, do you?" Audie looked agitated as if confirming what Gama had said. "Mom, I'm doing this because I care about Barbara. I don't want anything worse to happen to her." Gama assured. Not long after, a clap of hands distracted Audie. "Good, I admit you're good at sucking up. You're doing this for something, right? You want Tente Audie to feel indebted and then side with you. It's a well-organized plan. But unfortunately, I'm not that easy to fool." Jordan's hateful words affected Audie's mind. "Is that true Gama? You're doing this just to get sympathy from me? Don't dream. Even if Giorgio really did what you allege I would still ask Sierra to divorce you, now sign this!" Audie handed back the agreement. "Hurry up, Gama. it's not like we have a deal, you said so yourself." Jordan assured. "When did I say that? You should have kept your word, stayed away from Sierra." "Whatever it is, you don't care. Now just sign this paper and get out of my house." "But, Mom, we have to wait for Sierra. Sierra has to know about this, because it concerns her too, as you have heard. Sierra doesn't want a divorce from me. Is Grandpa's mandate." "I don't care. Sierra is my daughter, and the decision is mine." "What decision?"
