Inara did not have time to register if the person was a male or female but she stood there in the water, frightened. The person was underneath the water and she kept looking closely at the surface, trying to decipher where he or she would emerge.
Then with terror, she saw bubbles over the water in close proximity before her, which told her the current position of the person. She opened her mouth to scream as the person emerged directly in front of her, forcing one hand swiftly over her mouth and blocking out her scream, trapping her body and pushing her into the water.
Inara’s eyes opened wide, her heart thundering as her assailant kept her suffocating inside the water. Unable to withstand the suffocation, she began to gulp the water into her lungs, her body shaking with the realization
