Ivy’s POV “Miss, you should eat something.” I turned away from the window. The maid stood by the door, holding a tray. Toast and eggs. Again. “I’m not hungry,” I muttered, looking back out at the cloudy sky. She sighed, walking closer. “You’ve said that for two mornings now.” “I’m fine.” “You won’t be if you keep skipping meals,” she said softly, placing the tray on the table. “The Alpha won’t like it either.” I bit my lip. I hated how everyone talked like he owned me. Like I was just part of the house now. A thing to be managed. “I’ll eat later,” I said. She didn’t push. Just nodded and turned to leave. “Wait,” I said, my voice softer. She paused, looking over her shoulder. “What’s outside today?” I asked. “I haven’t gone out in days.” “Just guards. And birds.
