Meditation

Hearing the vampire history of vampire version made Erland know that both versions were equally influenced by the views of each party. To the Church, Vladimir was an arrogant person who would not bow his head to the Goddess of Light. However, to the vampires, the Goddess of Light was a selfish Goddess who only cares about her interests. Erland could not judge which of the two was correct. However, he understood one thing. The history written will always be the winning conclusion for the events that took place. "What do you think?" Hanna asked Erland who was still lost in thought. "I don't know... I don't have any proof as to which one is correct, but I think the vampire version makes more sense than the Church version." Hanna nodded, "That's an objective view, but if one day you meet another vampire, you shouldn't say that. Every Vampire should respect their ancestors." It seems that the vampires were quite conservative regarding their customs and culture. Erland didn't want to blame such a thought. After all, the Church itself was more conservative than the vampires. Doubting the Church even the slightest, that doubt was a sinful act, that was the Law of the Church of Light. Basically the mistakes of the Church cannot be criticized or questioned, this was what made several kingdoms choose to leave the Church of Light and embrace other religions. On the other hand, there were several Kingdoms supported by the Church, so that the Kings enjoy the benefits of the Church itself. Although several kingdoms oppose the Church, they were actually only small kingdoms. It was recorded that only three kingdoms were large enough to lead opposition of the Church. On the other hand, the Church supported only five kingdoms, but these five were major Kingdoms whose total area and population were larger than the kingdoms were opposing the Church. Hanna stood up from her chair, she invited Erland to walk around the house while introducing the uses of each room in her house. Hanna's house had two floors and one basement. In the first floor there was a living room, a bedroom, a kitchen, a warehouse where Erland was being held, and finally a bathroom. On the second floor there was a library, a music room which had several musical instruments, a lounge or a room that directly connected to the balcony in front of the house, a bedroom, then Hanna's private room which Hanna specifically warns never to open the room. Just as Erland was looking around the basement, he got an interesting sight. It turns out that the basement was used as a room for Hanna's magic experiment. There were some tools that Erland didn't know the use of, but the room was full of papers that had strange pictures in them. "Well, now I want to tell you the tasks you have to do. First, you must clean this house every morning. Second, you must learn magic and some general knowledge, so that you can help me in my research. Third, you must train yourself, I don't want to have weak subordinates," Hanna explained in detail the work Erland had to do from now on. "Very well, madam." There's nothing more to say. Ever since Erland became a Vampire, he felt unable to refuse Hanna's orders. It was as if something was controlling his thoughts. Basically, Erland had been reduced to Hanna's overall subordinate. After explaining in detail what Erland needed to do, Hanna went somewhere on some business. Meanwhile, Erland went to the library to learn about magic. The library room was quite spacious. There were three bookshelves and one reading table in the library. The three bookshelves lean neatly against each side of the wall. Erland didn't need to learn to read. Since childhood, he had grown up with his grandfather. His grandfather had taught him how to read. There were two kinds of letter in this world. The first, alphabet letter, introduced by King Alphabetius II, the wise king of the Kingdom of Vera. The kingdom that opposed the Church, and also known as the center of knowledge. The alphabet itself was very popular because it was very easy to memorize. Even the adherents of the Church use the alphabet in their daily life. Second, the Herdeminus Ancient letter, known as the letter of the gods. This script was used in ancient times. But because of the difficulty, the script was now only used for formal things only. The three bookshelves in the library collect books of different types. The first shelf collected book that covering general sciences such as history, geography, biographies of famous figures, and others. The second shelf collected well-known fiction books such as The Phoenix Cry Series, The Knight of Juthem, and the most popular romantic stories Anna and The Wizard. Meanwhile, the last shelf held all the books related to magic. Erland rummaged through the earliest books to learn magic on the third shelf. After a while, he finally found it. The book was entitled 'The Wizarding World' by Alfonso Luigin. On the first page, there was a debate about the origin of magic. At first, the origin of magic was taken from the literature of the Church, which says that magic was a gift from the Goddess of Light to humans. Then, the Dark Lord was said to have stolen some of her magical abilities, so that the Dark Lord finally shared his magical abilities with races other than humans. That view was held by most of the people in the coalition Church Kingdom. However, this view was flatly rejected by the opposing Churches Kingdoms. Alfonso Luigin mentions a sorcerer who put forward his theory of magic. It was said that magic was actually a special energy particle that develops along with the creation of this planet. Magic particles were thought to have the ability to transform into other substances. This theory was later studied and officially recognized as true after several trials by kingdoms that opposed to the Church. Then the second page wrote about one's way to become a magician. There were actually many ways to turn ordinary people into magicians. Of course, basically only talented people could become magicians. The most common method now used was Meditation. Meditation means gathering the concentration of the Individual and feeling the magic particles in the air, then guiding them into the body. Then in the body the particles will slowly gather and form a magic core. Meditation itself was the result of an experiment that proves the truth of the magic particle theory. Meanwhile, followers of the Church of Light could become a magician with a special ritual, different from meditation. That's why the author of the book mentions that there were other possible methods for studying magic. Alfonso Luigin also said that if a person cannot sense magic particles after one month, then that means that person was not talented. Erland immediately closed his book. There was still a lot of reading in the book, but Erland felt that feeling the magic particles was something he had to do first before continuing to read this book. Following the instructions from the book, Erland then took a cross-legged sitting position with his arms outstretched. He closed his eyes. Meditation was not sleep. Meditation wasn't just about closing your eyes and looking for magic particles. Meditation was the process of freeing the mind of a mortal from worldly affairs and then allowing his soul to come into contact with nature. Magician, always synonymous with wisdom. At least, a person who managed to become a magician from the meditation method was always a person who was quite wise. This was because meditation brought its own serenity to magicians. Magicians who were used to calm will slowly get used to handling worldly affairs calmly. When they fought, magician would always maintain their composure and analyze the situation objectively, and then think of a solution as quickly as possible.
