"Welcome back," I tell Monica as Lexi goes back and Monica comes forward. She doesn't say anything, just smiles sweetly at me. "You okay?"
"Of course, just, I don't thankful I guess."
"For Lexi?"
"Always, but also for you and Xavier. Xavier got her talking to us again, and I think you guys having some time together helped her too. She needed to feel just as loved as I did when you guys found me."
"And she is, let me know if things get to be too much for her again. Although, she did promise not to shut us out anymore."

"Good," I pull her forward and kiss her head. "Now are you hungry, because I'm starving and we didn't exactly have time to eat yet."
