Tom and Monica talk the whole way back to the pack. Well Monica does most of the talking, Tom listens and offers one or two word answers. Apparently, he met his word quota while we were at the bar, something that must have changed after he lost his mate, because I seem to recall him being a rather social person. I could barely handle losing Monica for a few weeks, granted I knew that was because they were torturing her, but I also got her back. I don't know what would happen to me if I lost her for good, if she was there and then suddenly she wasn't. I would fall apart, I'm pretty sure Xavier and I would turn feral and there would be no helping us.
